I have heard he was 19 that time and one of the them says "he was just a lad back then". I mean how could such person do this at this age and when he is part of the Islamic party. Anyone can share their thoughts about him, I'd like to know whether his case was proven to be guilty or not?

yes he was only 19 yers old back then. All the verdicts are controversial and the trail has already been internationally questioned for lack of transparency best exemplified by the SKYpe scandal (google it). The most crooked up verdict was of maulana Saydee, a renowned islamic scholar. His name don't even match with the one they are accusing committed the crime and the real accused died back in 71 after the war. Not only that, the families of the supposed victims didn't come to give statements in the court while not a single witness in any of the trails are eye witnesses but rather hear say witnesses. Not to mention a witness who refused to lie against Saydee was kidnapped by the gov. When a completely innocent person can be given death penalty based in such epic farce and fake identity what else do U expect in other cases. Lots of people some 150+ were killed in the aftermath of Saydees verdict just because they protested against the farce trail. The whole thing is a farce meant to destroy the opposition and prolong the AL gov term in power in line with Indian prescription. They don't care about any fair trial but just carry out judicial killing.

After reading articles about him few weeks ago, I came up in my mind with three points; a teenager back then, being part of the Islamic party and Bangladesh forces crushed the protesters last week. This is why I was concerned about that. I understand how people feel about him, it is not only in Bangladesh, other countries are like that where people were been framed by elites especially in America where they are too obsessed on setting innocents up like in the movies. It is hard to tell that who was what at what age.. But Age 19 (Teen age) is a dangerous age.. At this age people can do a lot of bad stuffs if he or she wants. Remember, in almost all the countries the minimum age to join military is 18.

Video footage obtained by Al Jazeera appears to contradict official death toll from May 6 violence in Dhaka.

Al Jazeera has obtained video footage suggesting that the Bangladesh government has been providing inaccurate death tolls from recent violence.

According to official figures, 11 people had died during fighting between police and protesters from Hifazat-e-Islam, an Islamic group, on May 6, a day protesters refer to as the "Siege of Dhaka".

The video footage which was aired by Al Jazeera has already been posted and discussed. The video does not show any big number of dead bodies.

Human Rights Watch, a US-based rights group, said that the exact number of deaths resulting from the protests are "unclear".

"Independent news sources put the figure at approximately 50 dead, with others succumbing to injuries later," HRW said in a statement on Saturday.

50 is still appearing a very high number for that night. But it is no where near to the propaganda that Jamaat has propagated at internet that 2500-3000 people died.

Hope no political parties in the future wont utilize small children and school students for their own political advantages. There should be a proper inquiry about it and which ever party or person were responsible be it from BAL, BNP or Jamaat should be brought to justice.

News reports from Bangladesh allege that a series of attacks on demonstrators have taken place, at around 3am today, May 6, 2013. The extent of the injuries and death is difficult to be ascertained at the moment. The Daily Star, a Bangladeshi newspaper, gave the figure of deaths as 5. However, several internet reports have mentioned that the number of deaths could be as high as 2,500 or more. Pictures of dead bodies have also been distributed over the internet. Major news channels in Bangladesh have been silenced. Two private television channels that were showing live pictures of the attacks upon the demonstrators were immediately closed down. The authorities have, later in the morning, imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898, (a provision similar to declaring internal emergency) in the city of Dhaka, under which more than four persons are not allowed to converge in public places and the declaration absolutely prohibits public protest. Worse, the executive authorities could use deadly force against civilians under this provision. All forms of public gatherings, rallies and protests have been prohibited until the midnight today, May 6.

The Asian Human Rights Commission (AHRC) has learned that the security forces, including the Border Guards Bangladesh, the Rapid Action Battalion and the Police, started a massive crackdown on the demonstrators of the Hefazat-E-Islam early morning on Monday. According to unverified information the AHRC has received, a huge number of lives have already been lost. Numerous victims have been shot at close range by the state agencies. It appears that the international community stationed in Dhaka is fully aware of the brutal crackdown and the wanton extrajudicial execution happening within Dhaka and in the outskirts of the city.

It is reported that the security forces are using heavy artillery, which are normally used in the war fronts.

Bangladesh, recently has become extremely violent. The violence surfaced over the issue of objectionable blog-postings concerning Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). It is reported that a large number of protesters gathered in Dhaka since early morning yesterday, May 5, 2013, under the umbrella of a group named Hefazat-E-Islam demanding punishment of the so called 'atheist bloggers', who allegedly remained under the protection of the state agents, for writing blasphemous materials. Hefazat-E-Islam has been demanding 13 points including a legislation on blasphemy, reformation of the country's 'women policy' and adoption of the name of Allah in the constitution.

The AHRC does not agree with any of the demands made by the Hefazat-E-Islam. Our concern, however, is for the right of everyone to participate in protests. At all times the sacredness of the right to life must be respected.

The violence that is going on in Bangladesh must stop now. The international community has a moral as well as a legal obligation to intervene, which could save lives and could prevent the situation from deteriorating further. The United Nations must take all necessary actions, most importantly through the office of the Secretary General to bring an immediate end to the bloody impasse that has befallen upon the country.

Show proof of 2500-3000 dead, or publish list of the people those who died and reply rationally why there are no relatives claiming the dead bodies.

Answer is quite simple. Nothing happened like what some jamati sources are claiming. In fact even HeI could not come with a list of those who died.

They have not found anything to show credibility of their earlier claim in the last 7 days.
