AK Antony brushes aside Chinese general’s anti-India tirade

:blah:

head to head, soldier to soldier you chinese don't stand a chance in Tibet if full frontal force are used by both countries. Your military is purely based to defend you against an invasion from coast. India military is purely based to defend India from land. Also Tibetans will help India and they will be more than ready to accommodate Indians rather than chinese.

you must be out of your mind,we trained the best athletes in the world and China is very famous for it stringent training,as to India, nowhere to be seen anywhere in the world arena.soliders are just like athletes ,need regular hard training, you Indians are just not good at that.Tibetans will support you?come and find it out,you have so many rebel groups fighting your government on daily basis,if China really wants, those rebel groups will be more than happy to be aided by the world second biggest economy.

India's Northeast is only very narrowly connected with the rest of India and people there are not happy to be part of India, there are numerous military rebel groups operating actively in that region, forget about Tibet,if a war breaks out,India will kiss its NE goodbye.

If the Chinese and India members here actually run their government since the founding of PDF. We would be looking at WW X this year. Let me get my math right. Is PDF founded in 2005?

if a war breaks out, India would get a buffer country in form of Tibet b/w China and India.

The simple fact is that China has no chance at all in Tibet in case of a full scale conventional war to protect Tibet. The whole of Tibet will be fighting against PLA, so PLA would be totally surrounded and crushed from both within and outside.

Maybe we will see thousands of PLA surrender.

:blah:

the 1962 border conflict between China and india has already shown the so called ground strength of the indian forces....:-)..........
and they ran back with their tails between their legs and not like in 1971 when a separate country was given birth by the victors

BEIJING: Defence minister A K Antony on Friday said India and China would conduct joint military exercises in October while brushing aside a top Chinese People's Liberation Army general's statement warning New Delhi against provoking "trouble" in border areas.

"My discussions were with the official people," Antony told journalists. He was responding to questions on Maj Gen Luo Yuan's statement warning India not to "stir up" trouble by increasing military deployment in border areas.

Antony's response suggested the Chinese leadership may have distanced themselves from Maj Gen Luo's comments hours before he landed in Beijing.

The move to resume joint military exercises highlights improvement in ties between the two countries. India had suspended military exchanges in 2009 after China refused to host the head of Indian Army's J&K-based northern command.

Antony, who had earlier met Chinese premier Li Keqiang and defence minister Chang Wankuan, said the two countries have agreed to go a step further and undertake "enhanced professional exchanges" between their navies and air forces.

He said the military relationship was an important part of the overall ties between the two countries. "This is also what was conveyed to him by the Chinese leaders.''

The defense minister said the recent Chinese incursion at Depsang was being discussed in detail for quite some time. "Outcome is very important. Everything will be discussed.''

Antony said he was satisfied with his discussions with the Chinese leadership so far. "The message is very clear. The PM again reiterated that the new leadership in China gives much importance to strengthening and expanding the relations with India,'' he said.

Officials said the two countries had further agreed that strategic communication and improved coordination among border guards of the two countries are required for building trust and understanding.

How funny.... Antony responded in a matured way and look at our chinese friends posts.... I wonder what would they say if antony would have been little harsh and responded in kind to the general ?????

fighting war with china is risky because we know we will not lose the territory but, we are only concerned about the economy downfall after the war.

Everyone knows he is loud mouth Chinese General, Why waste time on him. China has already scolded him by saying it is not their official stand, so this mad General is on its own not backed by its nation.

yes,we saw that large scale of surrender in 1962 do you mean this time it can be even larger than that one?

The underlining point here is--- for the longest US has had a report saying the Chinese military has a mind of its own.

They are not under the complete control of the central movement, their premier has been shown to not be fully consulted or even at all in many matters that come out of the military. The mature military's don't have go at it alone generals making rabble rousing statements ... sure they will make statements about how prepared they are blah blah- but they don't go around threatening other countries in an immature fashion.

there have been dozens of times we have seen moves by the Chinese military and statements from their generals where they make such asinine statements, that it is obvious they were not approved by the CCP heads

the 1962 border conflict between China and india has already shown the so called ground strength of the indian forces....:-)..........

The 1965, 1971 and 1999, Indian ground forces showed its strength! 1962 was a mistake... Lesson learnt!

you must be out of your mind,we trained the best athletes in the world and China is very famous for it stringent training,as to India, nowhere to be seen anywhere in the world arena.

By torturing them? Still China is way ahead of India in Athletics... That does NOT mean India does not have talent... It is just there is NO proper forum to move ahead!

soliders are just like athletes ,need regular hard training, you Indians are just not good at that.

This is your dream! We still hold the worlds highest battle field!

Tibetans will support you?come and find it out,you have so many rebel groups fighting your government on daily basis,if China really wants, those rebel groups will be more than happy to be aided by the world second biggest economy.

You are already doing that for 30 long years with any success?

India's Northeast is only very narrowly connected with the rest of India and people there are not happy to be part of India, there are numerous military rebel groups operating actively in that region, forget about Tibet,if a war breaks out,India will kiss its NE goodbye.

Ha ha ha... good joke! First take Arunachal and then speak!
