KABUL: Abu Huzaifa, the chief of proscribed Jundullah, has been killed in an airstrike in Afghanistan's Kunduz province.

Quoting the National Directorate of Security (NDS), the Afghan media reported Jundullah chief Abu Huzaifa along with his three commanders was killed in an airstrike launched in coordination with the intelligence department.

NDS in a statement said the airstrike was carried out in Chahar Darea district around 4:30 pm local time.

The NDS further said Abu Huzaifa was leading the terrorist group in Afghanistan that was involved in the killing of dozens of innocent civilians.

Did they attack for Pakistan or for their own interest?

Isn't Jundullah also active in Pakistan? Or I'm mixing something?

Jundullah is part of TTP franchise and Afghanistan is taking action against it. Previously Afghanistan was carrying out major operation against TTP. Pakistan has yet to take any military action against "good Taliban" i,e Haqqani network and Quetta Shura inside her territory.

Highly skeptical of ANSF's capacity to conduct operations again TTP.

What major operation did Afghanistan carry out against the TTP?

North Waziristan was claimed to be the hub of the Haqqani network by both the US and Afghans, with the local Taliban chief, Gul Bahadur, their main benefactor, so what rock were you hiding under when the Pakistan Military demolished the Taliban groups in North Waziristan and forced Gul Bahadur to escape into Afghanistan, where he ordered the residents of North Waziristan to shelter in Afghanistan instead of Pakistani IDP camps?

Been doing that for over a year with Zarb-Azb in North Waziristan and Khyber. The Afghans themselves admitted that Zarb-e-Azb forced thousands of Taliban fighters into Afghanistan, resulting in a spike in attacks there.

Perhaps if the NDS and ANA had actually cooperated with Pakistan and intercepted these fighters on the Afghan side the spike in attacks in Afghanistan would not have occurred. Instead the NDS and ANA was too busy collaborating with the TTP terrorists and Indians over an impossible dream of expanding Afghanistan till the Indus, a desire that Kutta-Salah Saleh recently blurted out.

If it's an air strike it was probably the US. The Afghan NDS was caught red handed collaborating with Hakimullah Mehsud's deputy TTP leader by US forces in Karzais last days, after which Karzai and the NDS did an excellent impersonation of screaming, whining and wailing old women in accordance with Karzai's old woman robes.

The only way the NDS or ANA carried out this strike is by accident.

No military action was taken against Haqqani network. Hafiz Gul Bahadur group is not to be confused with the Haqqani network led by Siraj-ud-din Haqqani. Haqqani militants had already left NW before start of zarb-e-azab and they were allowed to move to settle areas. The ones who fled to Afghanistan, were TTP fighters who have operational alliance with Afghan Taliban there.

To give you an idea, the dead bodies of Haqqani militants killed in action with ANSF , belonging to my district, are brought via Torkham and they are buried in their native villages or towns, with full cooperation of Pakistani military. Very active support of Pakistan army for Afghan Taliban is going on, which has eventually disappointed Ashraf Ghani who was hoping that good gestures from him would some how stop this support for Taliban.

If you are from Torkham, then you have been hiding under a rock all this time if you don't even have a clue about Gul Bahadur's long role in sheltering the Haqqanis and carrying out attacks in Afghanistan after the peace deal with Pakistan:

“Both the Hafiz Gul Bahadur and Mullah Nazir-led groups were against attacking Pakistani installations or forces. However, they would often stage attacks on NATO forces in Afghanistan and were sending fighters across the border,” said veteran Rahimullah Yusufzai. “Drone attacks targeted leaders of both groups, including the chiefs, eventually resulting in the death of Mullah Nazir and four of his fighters,” he added.

“Bahadur has also been targeted in at least three drone strikes, but has survived all of them. However, his son and brother were killed,” said Yusufzai, adding that NATO and CIA have repeatedly conveyed to Pakistan’s military that Bahadur and his group have been helping Al Qaeda and the Haqqani network.

The U.S. has been urging Pakistan to take action against the groups based in North Waziristan for several years, claiming they stage attacks on troops in Afghanistan and seek refuge across the border in Pakistan.
Militant Commander Declares War on Pakistan Army ‹ Newsweek Pakistan

The Haqqani network has always been composed primarily of Afghans, so your claim of Haqqani fighters being brought back to Torkham for burial, outside of a few cases, doesn't ring true. On the other hand, if these were Pakistanis who had died in Afghanistan, then militant or not, facilitating the transportation of their bodies to Pakistan for burial is what one would expect any government to do. Its not a conspiracy or sign of PA collaboration.

The NDS being caught red handed by the US while meeting with the deputy TTP chief and Karzai admitting to sheltering Baloch terrorists in leaked US diplomatic cables, now that is evidence of collaboration of the Afghans with terrorists like the TTP in Pakistan, as is the claim of the recently deposed chief of the NDS, Kutta-Saleh Saleh, that Afghanistan's territory runs till the Indus.

Saleh ran the NDS for a long enough time to leave his imprints, and his statement gives us clear insight into the mindset of the organization he helped build. The NDS is nothing more than an extension of the TTP , responsible for the violence in Afghanistan because of its focus on conquering Pakistan.
