Air Forces of South China Sea claimants

so taiwan has one airfield, while we none?
can you elaborate how taiwan can exert control over international airspace?
Give me a break. Are you dense?

Taiwan has a major airfield in the middle of the Spratlys. Your airfield is way over there on Vietnam.

In the event that the two airforces meet halfway between Taiping Island and Vietnam, Taiwan's much larger airforce will defeat the Vietnamese airforce. This means Taiwan controls the airspace over the South China Sea. You should be able to figure out this chain of logic yourself.

who says we have no airfield on spratlys?

your logic sucks, you keyboard warior. for you, only the number matters. the country with most weapons wins. if I recall, during the Vietnam war, the US had deployed more aircraft than almost of other next 10 military powers in the world ever possessed combined (except the USSR), but failed to gain air superiority over hanoi airspace.

if taiwan ever possesses 10,000 aircraft, then we will talk.

Go ahead. Show me a picture of your alleged Vietnamese airfield in the Spratlys that can accommodate a combat jet.

By the way, the outcome doesn't change. Taiwan's 325 fighter jets easily overwhelm Vietnam's tiny 48 fighter air force.

The topic is the South China Sea and airspace.

The last time that I checked, Hanoi was not part of the South China Sea.

Do you think you could stay on topic and not rant all over the place?

Taiwan's Air Force beats Vietnam's Air Force in both quality and quantity

Taiwan is a rich industrialized country. Vietnam is not. This means we expect the quality of the Taiwanese pilots to be far superior to the Vietnamese.

Taiwan's military budget is $10.5 billion per year. Vietnam's military budget is a tiny $3.3 billion.[1] With Taiwan's greater financial resources, we expect Taiwanese pilots to be much better trained than their Vietnamese counterparts.

On a technological level, Taiwan has 200 advanced American AIM-120 AMRAAMs.[2] I think another 138 are on order.

In conclusion, Taiwan beats Vietnam on every metric.

Do you know how to stay on topic? If you want to discuss the Taiwanese fisherman and the Philippines, go open a thread about it.

The topic in this thread is the military airpower of the South China Sea claimants and who has air superiority when war breaks out.

It is flying over Spratly.
Combat jets have a long range. You haven't proved you have a sufficiently long runway on a Spratly Island.

The picture could easily show jets that took off from mainland Vietnam.

TW AF suck, thats why they dare not do anything to protect its people.

Where is TWAF when its people got hundred rounds from PH in SCS(east sea) ??

It's hopeless. You idiots keep trolling my threads and going off-topic.

You can argue pilot training, military budget, missile technology, etc.

You cannot retort with a Taiwanese fisherman and the Philippine Coast Guard.

They are completely unrelated. I'm leaving the thread due to the flood of stupid trolls.

I should mention the Taiwanese F-16s are having their radars upgraded to AESA.

not combat jets, but small aircraft. but anyway if you haven´t noticed, our SU30 jets with extra fuel can reach distances as far as 8,000 km and more. so in case of conflicts, our jets will be there in no time.

big spratly island.

Ngày nay, nhiệm vụ bay tuần tiễu Trường Sa được chuyển sang biến thể Su-22M4 hiện đại hơn với khả năng mang vũ khí tấn công chính xác cao.

630maybayrats4.jpg.ashx

968maybayrats11.jpg.ashx

Ngày 12.5.2005, máy bay PZL M28 của Không quân Nhân dân Việt Nam đã hạ cánh thành công xuống sân bay ở đảo Trường Sa lớn (quần đảo Trường Sa).

Và mới đây, thủy phi cơ DHC-6 đã trở thành máy bay cánh bằng thứ 2 hạ cánh thành công lên sân bay ở đảo Trường Sa lớn. Như vậy, lực lượng bảo vệ quần đảo Trường Sa tiếp tục được bổ sung, tăng cường sức mạnh đối phó với các thế lực thù địch.

So what is the use of TW AF if it is not for protecting TWese ??

The true is that USA use TW AF to fight against its brother CN only, TWAF is not designed to fight against other nations in SCS(east sea).

SO, TWAF's power in SCS(east sea) is close to Zero, it cant protect any TWese there.
