Well am a Pakistani and there are 40 odd million Pakistanis like me who claim abdali purely because of him being Pukhtoon.

Pakistanis are very diverse, mind you, you don't think that, or your ignorance won't let you think that.

If you can't contribute to this thread then why not have a rest, no one really cares what your kind thinks.

Well tell me was there Afghanistan when Abdali carried out his campaign, please do tell us was there a nation called Afghanistan?.

Also do tell us was there a nation called India at the time or was there a kingdom of Mughals?.

I only consider third battle of Panipat a battle between an Afghan Empire and an Indian empire, nothing more than that. But people are bringing in ideologies and it kinda sound bizarre when Pakistanis lay claim on it because Abdali was a Muslim.

Yet the same Pakistanis throw dirt at Abdali when they are in mode of insulting Afghans. They call him a plunderer, they quote waris shah like you did and some of pakistanis would tell you that Abdali was used as a sex object by nadir shah.

The truth is, they have named their missiles to irritate and provoke indians, nothing else.

I dont know what is the logic behind using name of babur to provoke hindus?. That dude killed more fellow hanafi pashtun/afghan muslims than hindus. He defeated muslim Lodhi empire whose people are 14% population of Pakistan. Surely he faced hindu rana sanga, but rana sanga himself was supported in battle by 10,000 Afghans under mehmud lodhi and hasan khan mewati, a muslim rajput with 12,000 soldiers under his command.

Why hindus and sikhs should respect abdali? , they can insult abdali as much as they want, but i am not o.k with any pakistani calling names to Ahmad shah abdali.

Difference of opinion .. you cant expect all 180 million ppl to think in a similiar manner... can you? you might not respect waris shah n others might not like abdali.. but thts clearly not the case with the majority or should i say 99% non Pakhtuns?

Punjab was pretty much ravaged by Afghans over and over again, I cant believe that being the same religion can make them forget that past.

I agree with you, most Pakistanis here seem to be dishonest and wiggle out of arguments when asked about Abdali being a foreign invader.

In their heart they are still terrified of afghans sacking Lahore.

Like i said, why hindus would love my heroes and invaders?. This is defense forum, check other loosely moderated pakistani forums and social media where there are no indians. some times Pakistanis even join hands with indians to throw insults at pashtuns. At this very forum , most of the attock-key-uss paar pakistanis and indians are one when it comes to describing role of pashtun tribesmen in 1948 war.
Many members here have find a way to vent their hate against Pashtuns , without getting infraction, by using word Afghan. For example , a week ago, some potohari raja was saying that babur fcked and ravaged your yousafzai lady, at the end of his post he said, 'he is insulting only afghanis , not pak pakhtuns. .......and that he loves pak pakhtuns.
