Some good points made, InshaAllah I'll engage more tomorrow. @TheLahoriGuy made a great point, what is Pro Pakistan? Is PTV Pro Pakistan? The scope of our personal biases make this an almost impossible question to answer 100%.

Another thing to consider is the effect of the filter bubble.

For starters a pro Pakistan paper will not take money from foreign governments like Express and Dunya news

Pro Pakistan Is Putting Forward Pakistan's Narrative To The World,Not Becoming A Mouthpiece For Other Country's
Agendas and Not Trying To Sow Discord Between The People and Armed Forces Of The Country

Our narrative ? And you realize that our narrative itself could be propoganda ? Plus there's a hundred different Pakistani narrative's. For example which one would you say is more "pro Pakistan", a newspaper that gives biased news to save face for the establishment or a newspaper that saves face for the current government ?

You cannot be entirely pro something because that means you have chosen to leave out the negatives of something and now you're basically delivering fake news.

Everything Is Propaganda There Are Always Two Sides To A Story CNN and BBC Are Just As Much Propaganda Tools As RT Telesur Or Press TV Every Country Gives Their PoV.

And It Does Not Mean You Don't Criticize But There Is A Difference Between Constructive Criticism and Agenda Toeing.

Does Iraq has WMD? yes or no

According to neutral BBC and CNN Iraq had WMDs

Isnt BBC or CNN a propaganda. Have you ever seen CNN questioning or analyzing State Department statements and exploring pros and cons?

Here in Pakistan, the english print media glamorizes Maryam Nawaz and this flawed democracy and puts the statements from ISPR in quotes as if it is trying to distance itself. This is not fair. This is not impartial. Its putting question on your own narrative.

I knew you were kind of thick in the head but now I'm worried you might be blind too. Read the title of the thread please. Didn't know BBC and CNN were Pakistani newspapers.

Well you need to decide as to what exactly is our own narrative. Like I said before ofcourse all newspapers have their own interests and cater to a very specific sections of our society. Don't know exactly how you've decided to put all of English media into one basket but PMLN glorification is a habit adopted by the whole of Jang group. If you read something and it doesn't fit your views then you can't just label it as propoganda. Take for instance the Faizabad rally. One newspaper might say that the army distributed thousands of rupees in the mob, you might be an army fan and get upset and think of it as propoganda. Similarly another paper might write that the civilian govt laid down its arms to a mob of a couple thousand people and completely screwed up the negotiations and if you're a PMLN fan you would think of it as a propoganda. However you getting upset in both situations will not change the facts for what they are.

The problem is media does not report facts. It reports rumors as fact to create a particular narrative.

Army giving money was a rumor not a fact. But some media outlets reported it as fact.

Pro-Pakistani means that what you report and in what manner you report, should bewithin the context of promoting peace and stability in Pakistan and to fight foreign propoganda.

Take for example the terrorists attack on minorities.Whenever there is terrorists attack on minorities the media narrative is "Pakistan is intolerant society","Pakistanis support hardliners" "Pakistan is a weak state" and giving airtime to people who insult Pakistan and its Islamic Ideology.

But the narrative csn be easily this "Foreign backed terrorists trying to create discord between different sects in Pakistan" "Pakistanis united after terrorist attacks" " Every Pakistani is supporting the attacked minority" and giving airtime to people who support unity and Islamic Ideology.

Media hardly report facts. And if they do report facts then the narrative created is negative.

If the media started reportinf facts only you wouldn't like that either. Simply because not all the facts paint us as saints. For example the Faizabad thing isn't is a rumor, it was shown on live TV and then the responsibility was shifted on the civ govt who later denied it wasn't by their orders. Furthermore while I completely agree that our news should be promote a peaceful narrative but you are not doing that when you are constantly shifting blame to others. Baloch and Pashtun protests are openly being shrugged off because they're straight up being called foreign propoganda (I have no doubt that there is indeed foriegn influence but that doesn't mean the entire protest is based on a lie).

I was reading the news today and I noticed the language used about the atrocities in Kashmir was just as poor as the language used in Western media about Palestine. Western media is full of Israeli sympathisers who cover up Israeli attrocities and our English language print media tries to make out Indian criminality as measured. I think they're all sold out one way or the other.

Dawn is completely secular and pro western. Express tribune too. Daily Times has always been anti Pakistan. Jang group are outright traitors.

Does anyone know any Pakistani English language newspaper that are pro Pakistan?
They will bark for their masters so simple....They are paid for that JIN KA KHATY HAIN ON KAY LIAY BHONKTY HAIN

Agenda of media is totally, rating based, sell out, not based on issues, party affiliation, and not up to reporting neautral factual standards.

Good Pakistani media examples which are puting up great tv are factual Hum News, Hum News is the example all media owners should look for.
