But Khushal Khan Khattak was a 'traitor' to the state when seen from the Mughal perspective. He rebelled against the Mughal dynasty who he had served for around four decades. His ancestors (Malik Akor, Malik Yayha and Malik Shahbaz) were loyal and namak-halal to Mughals since Akbar times (1581) and even when he rebelled, most of the Khattaks did not support him and rallied around his pro-Mughal son.......Khushal baba was a Pashtun or "Afghan" nationalist to the core , so parallels can not be drawn between a Pakistanist (and anti-Afghanistan) Khattak from Karak and Khushal Khan Khattak.
About this Umar Khattak guy.......he also has nothing in common with Khushal Khan Khattak. This benamos and Beghairat converted to Hinduism and sold himself to Hindus for money, he has brought eternal shame and disgrace to his family.
How so? people of Karak speak soft dialect of Pashto and they say "Pashto" and "Pashtun" instead of Pakhto, Pakhtun. In fact soft dialect of Pashto is original and classical version according to linguists whereas hard dialect is its modification and later development.
