This is exactly how it should be done. These weak and late statements aren't worth it. It is like putting bandage when the most severe pain has subsided. There is no coordination. There is no strong response after such a vicous attack by our enemy. It is a travesty to say the least.
Now had this been the Nawaz Sharif or Zardari government it wouldn't be a surprise. This is a new government that has no stake in sucking up to Rapistan. The response is weak and feeble to say the least.
The whole Kartarpur corridor fiasco doesn't bode well. It is a farce. This new government is too fixated with the Modi regime. There cannot be peace with a henious Hindu fundamentalist like Modi. He kills and rapes innocent Kashmiris. Minorities don't have any rights in Modiland. How on earth does the new government believe that there are chances of having normal relations with a nation that is obsessed with hating Pakistan? It doesn't make any sense.
You are right, Pakistan and current government does not need any “modi” softening. Its hard to understand why we need even peace with india. We can stop them militarily invading Pakistan, that’s the only real guarantee for peace. Indians should be kept at a distance. Peace might invite closeness, which the last think we Pakistani want.
I think there are some elements in Pakistan, who think that Khalistan, a long desired buffer state between India and Pakistan, may still be possible. Establishing safety with Pakistan, might lead some Sikh elements sufficient confidence to revive Khalistan movement.
Khalistan or no Khalistan, some other freedom seeking states in india may get another new helper. We Pakistanis may only be committed to Kashmir but others may be more inclined towards helping others and a lot of them.
There is some ongoing talk that so many freedom fighters in so many Indian states can’t fight because they can’t strike from a safe distance. They are afraid. But if someone can make them feel safe by helping them develop the ability to strike from a safe distance. Without disclosing, simple off the shelf and cheap electronics can be used by complete illiterates to cause harm from a distance, jamming resistance off course.
Some people think that a certain country (not Pakistan) may be thinking of retaliation by setting up such low cost yet high tech aid to those insurgents. All that is needed is to have google translate and certain website in certain language which can explain what to do to those militants, or may be in their own language without any translation. Stuff can be bought easily or old electronics can be ripped apart to make “really painful things”.
The point is modern technology has made India extremely vulnerable. Time will soon be gone when India could cause chaos and get away with it. A single militant in India, will be able to cause massive traffic accident in Mumbai or hurt where it hurts the most.
China is an organized, and financially well off country. China can support x number of insurgencies.
We may still be just concerned with Kashmir alone but others can aid a lot more states having freedom seeking elements.
India should understand, not everyone is as passive as Pakistan.
Some country actually love themselves so much that for one person, they can kill a thousand and still want more.
Not everyone allows bad things to continue without punishment.
Even Pakistan uses anti-tank missiles to take revenge for little Asifa bano in Kashmir, or risks snipers after a mother of two is killed to settle the score. Even as passive as Pakistan is, it too sets the natural order of things (i.e. let indians know they and their Kashmiri siblings matter more). After all People who naturally genetically cluster together such as Kashmir and Pakistan belong together.
Others are far more active and all they do, is to set the natural order of things. May be Indian should not disturb the natural order of things (i.e. not others feel less what their own self image dictates). Some countries don’t like to be attacked and seen as not doing anything. China is definitely is one of them.
