Treated just like him? India would have put him in prison was there such a plethora of direct crystal clear evidence like that available for Hafeez Saeed.
Has Pakistan Supreme court appointed a SIT for investigating Saeed activities even? One was opened up for Modi and it went on for many years.
Every censure and BOUNTY on Saeed has come from outside Pakistan.....not one has seriously come from within Pakistan.....unlike Modi and India....which Modi had to offer testimony and depositions to...along with many other people (including victims of the riot).
Has the Pakistan supreme court had people depose for or accepted testimony from the Mumbai terror attack?....have they even opened a proper sustained investigation into not just Saeed but the whole terror network of JuD?
Its a case of apples and oranges. Its why Pakistan is always near the top of the fragile states index. Its institutions are not really institutions of world-calibre like the Indian Supreme Court. Same reason one country suffers from coups at regular intervals (and probably will do so again), while the other has not seen one.
The supreme court upholds the Indian constitution period. They certainly never had to face the awkward (and technically illegal) situation of functioning under a military regime that seized power quite unconstitutionally. Same can't be said about some of the neighbourhood.
How they uphold their role is for the world and neutral authorities to decide (and they have ALWAYS scored highly on any world legal metric).....you are free to hold your opinion on it....but it does not matter to me or anyone who actually knows what an SIT involves and the depth of investigations done by them on Modi....which has not even been hinted at by a similar supreme court regarding Saeed...or even its own leaders like Zardari and Sharif on all kinds of crimes.
We are on completely different pages here I am afraid.
