Afghanistan wants to join CPEC

Well before we closed the boarder with Afghanistan we used to control the Afghanistan imports, all of them. They are the only country in the world dominated by Pakistani imports. You shut them away u r giving that market to Indians and Iranians.

It's the economic interest that should matter for both Afghanistan and Pakistan but the jazbats

Looks like Free shipment of wheat is over need another Donated 1 Ton Ship of wheat in afghanistan :D. So India when you going to send the other free wheat shipment :D.

Good news. De-escalation of regional tensions
Last month Afg said no to Cpec and now they want to join it? They can't make up their mind, can they?

Anyway, Afg trucks come all the way from Kabul to Lahore and Karachi to export their goods to the world, mostly India. After joining cpec they will be probably using Gwader port to export their goods. Plus, we need nearby market to export all the products Chinese are gonna manufacture in Pakistan after relocating smaller industries here.

The more business in Gwader means lesser business for Chahbahar, which probably only India would be using to export their junk to Afg. To compete Indian junk in afg, we need to export more from Pakistan to Afghanistan, both Pakistani and Chinese products. Good for the economy of Pak as it will increase our export.

All in all, Afg joining cpec will:
- Increase Pak exports
- Generate more Toll taxes in Pak
- Make Afg lesser dependent on India
- Make Afg more dependent on Pakistan(and China)
- Give Indian junks in Afg bloody competition
- Reduce the importance of Chahbahar.
So Pakistan is trading with India, this time they would use Gwadar. Good to hear that.

Just be careful, when you arrest someone like Ydhav the terrorist, before trying to blame Iran, take care of Indian citizens coming to your country. ;)

Afg's export to India through Pak(Lahore) is one way trip while Karachi port is for the other countries. Even if Afg starts using Gwader, it wouldn't change anything related to India. :-)

We will blame Iran if terrorists come from there. And, of course we will take real good care of them ;)

PS: Please, don't tag/quote me again if your comment is irrelevant to the thread. Thanks.

Valid points. However, this does not give us the full picture. To fully understand the implications there are some important points to consider.

- A-Stan - Pakistan transit trade is NOT a one way stream. In fact, Pakistan is dependent on A-stan for its trade with Central Asia. In fact, A-stan has been the biggest hindrance to increase of trade between Pakistan and Central Asia. With CPEC, A-stan route is NOT necessary for Pakistan. Thus A-stan becomes irrelevant. This is a huge STRATEGIC WIN. Why would you give away this strategic win for the sake of A-stan retarded terrorists?

-What is the annual trade between Pakistan and A-stan? It is only $1.5 billion per year. With CPEC the increase in trade between Pakistan and Central will easily compensate for any loss of trade value between Pakistan and A-stan.

-CPEC is a 'strategic project' between China and Pakistan ONLY. Everyone else requires PERMISSION from Pakistan and China to be a participant only if these countries PROVE THEIR WORTH TO THIS PROJECT. A-stan is a terrorist haven and does not have any POSITIVE contributions for this project.

-In terms of transit for Chinese goods, the profits from CPEC are so huge that it will be CRIMINAL TO TAKE ANY RISK for this project. A-stan is pure risk. And it would be CRIMINAL of Pakistan leadership to even consider A-stan at this stage.

Thus in conclusion, there is ZERO USEFULNESS OF A-STAN joining CPEC. In fact A-stan with its indian ally will destroy CPEC project.

iran is under sanctions and only exports what littleit produces. india after one shipment through Chabhar has gone quiet. remember the much touted air corridor???? where is it.

Good points.

Afg is dependant on Pak and is trying hard to get out of our influence. Instead of giving them what they want, we should engage them even more so that they never get out of our dependancy. Indulging them in cpec is gonna ween off their little bit Indian dependency.

Though, I must admit, precaution is necessary in dealing with them :agree:

I can give u example of our packaging industry which was totally holding the Afghanistan market. They used to work in cash, meaning no bad debts. Now this market is going towards the Iranian. No disrespect to Iranian, it's business and it's there right to take over market by giving them continuous supply of product.

you have a point re business and I am all for that but not at any cost.

Ok, no more responds after this one.

Obviously those spies or separatists like UB had no relations with Iranian firms unlike what the Saudi mouthpieces claimed on your medias. However, i hate these blame games, but unfortunately i have seen insults to Iranians who didn't even know those spies/terrorists by the name. And until unearthing of truth i shall be quoting Pakistani users about Yadhav, Uzair Baloch and other accusations. So don't bother with it

Have a good day

Funny thing is article doesn't have a single statement from any afghan authority regarding the same.

.
Afghanistan needs CPEC as Chabahar is only an Indian wet dream.

.
a war torn country is where normal traders run away from and CPEC is about trade.

I agree with entire post except the Chahbahar part. Chahbahar ko bhi CPEC ka hiss bana kar, indian thanidari k khwaab ki taboot ko last keel thoko. Gwadar will become the absolute center with business coming from Chahbahar BandareAbbas in the west, Afghanistan, CARs from north, China from east and Africa from South.
