Afghanistan Vows Revenge After Pakistani Indiscriminate Shelling Kills 9 People In Kandahar

The shellings, however, are not just limited to Afghanistan. The Pakistan army also resorted to heavy firing and mortar shelling in the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Tuesday.

Afghanistan is planning to retaliate against Pakistan after indiscriminate shelling killed nine civilians and injured 50 others in Kandahar. Aghan Troops have been put on high alert and been order to prepare for similar actions against Pakistan.

The Afghan Army Chief of Staff General Yasin Zia directed all Army corps, including Atal 205, Selab 201 and Thunder 203 to get ready for activities against Pakistani forces and to equip Afghan troops who are stationed along the Durand Line,” the statement said, according to TOLO News.

The Afghan Air Force and the country’s Special Forces have been commanded to stay alert for similar actions against Pakistani forces.

The Afghan Defense Ministry confirmed that at least nine civilians were killed and 50 others were injured in artillery attacks by Pakistani forces on “residential areas” in Spin Boldak district of Afghanistan’s Kandahar province.

The shellings from Pakistan are not a new phenomenon for Afghans living near the eastern and southern parts of Afghanistan. While there are several instances to prove that Pakistani military forces have resorted to artillery attacks and shelling, Islamabad has continued to deny these attacks.

The shellings, however, are not just limited to Afghanistan. The Pakistan army also resorted to heavy firing and mortar shelling in the forward areas along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Tuesday.

The shellings in Kandahar occurred at the same time a car bomb exploded in Afghanistan’s eastern Logar province on Thursday. The explosion left at least 17 people dead and 40 wounded. The attack took place in the provincial capital of Pul-e-Alam and was targeted at a police checkpoint.

The attack came hours before a three-day ceasefire was set to begin in the country for the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha. Taliban has denied any involvement in the bombing.

Pakistan needs to have continuous drone or Aerostat coverage, especially at times of heightened tensions such as these. They will help in targeting to minimize collateral damage to civilians as well as prove the targets hit where indeed ANA or their proxies.

You are talking about the act of dropping a nuke just like your handsome cricketer PM dropping a ball. If it was so easy and simple then USA would have nuked everyone else already and ended WW2 with complete victory over earth.
