Afghanistan refuses Maulvi Faqir extradition to Pakistan

KABUL: Afghanistan has refused to hand over senior Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan (TTP) commander Maulvi Faqir Mohammad as Islamabad requested his extradition following his capture by Afghan forces.

Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar had taken up the handing over of Faqir Mohammad during a phone conversation with her Afghan counterpart Zalmai Rassoul on Wednesday night but Afghan Foreign Ministry spokesman Janan Musazai ruled out his extradition.

The Taliban commander was captured by Afghan intelligence operatives in the eastern part of Afghanistan on Monday.

During a weekly news briefing yesterday, Pakistan Foreign Office spokesman Moazzam Khan had said: "We hope that he would be handed over to Pakistan as soon as possible because he has the blood of many innocent Pakistanis on his hands."

There was a news caption somewhere that he was in favour stopping attacks in Pakistan and thats why he was pushed aside by the TTP and not very surprisingly now he is in the hands of US/NATO backed afghan government.

afghans are a foolish bunch who are being led on by india and the US in thinking that they are getting back at Pakistan in some way , in the end the biggest loosers will the afghan themselves.

Before the americans came , the USSR inserted itself into afghanistan and nationalist afghans started having thoughts that they'll ride on USSR to fullfill their broken dreams of wresting NWFP from Pakistan.

The USSR promoted same tactics of renting out terrorists from the tribal belt , there was equal or even more violence then , it’s just that the internet hadn’t proliferated by then so information about it was not as wide spread as it is now

Now when American inserted themselves into Afghanistan, it again made the afghans orgasmic about their past ambitions

I personally think that Mr Karzai and other other officials of the so called Govt of Afghanistan are trying to negotiate for an asylum in Pakistan post 2014 , the Northern safehouses aren't that safe now ...
