Afghan president Hamid Karzai hands India weapons 'wish list'

I am hopeful the wish list includes at least 100,000 Indian troops in Afghanistan. Anything less than that is a waste of time and money as India has already spent billions in the past 12 years in Afghanistan.

Indians!! Don't let your Afghan brothers down at this critical juncture otherwise Taliban will eat both brothers alive for breakfast post-2014.
:pop:

Why post 2014... Are you and your Taliban puppets so sh!t scared of a 100,000 Americans ??

.. Your post is naive at so many levels, that for your sake I hope you are being sarcastic :D

.
Karzai can enjoy his seat and 'wish lists' until 2014. The moment NATO leaves Afghanistan, Taliban would take over....

I have been hearing about Karzai descend from power for last 12 years from Pakistani fanboys.. In the mean time, in Pakistan

1. The judiciary validated a dictator as President
2. Judiciary got disbanded
3. The dictator got thrown out
4. New Pakistani govt got sworned in
5. The Pakistani Prime minister made history by getting jailed while in office
6. The new Prime Minister got indicted
7. The PM who was thrown out of power by a military coup in in 1999 got voted back to power..

Looks like politically Afghanistan is much more stable :D

Good to see those internal issues of the past. Now days we have a democratically elected government, a strong media and a strong judiciary. One good thing that didn't change is the fact that we are still a nuclear country and rising at an unbelievable pace. Let the new party come on May 28th and by the end of their tenure you'll see an economy turned into an Asian Tiger, something left in the checklist to follow :)

Sure Afghanistan is stable. lol i wonder why it has been under foreign occupation for decades lol

Pakistan's 'shame': Rape cases in 2012

While the New Delhi gang rape case has resulted in outrage that has spilled into the streets across the border, the plight of women who have faced rape and sexual assault in Pakistan has been largely confined to formulaic articles in the press, slow-moving cases in the courts, and frequent dropped charges due to bribes, threats of further violence and family pressure on the victim to avoid further ‘shame’.
In 2012, The Express Tribune covered over 150 reports on cases of rape and their follow-ups across the country, but the actual number of incidents is likely much higher as the stigma of rape, treatment meted out by police officials and low prosecution rates makes this crime largely unreported.
While statistics are few and far between, according to a November report by the Awaz Foundation Centre for Development, as many as 2,713 cases of violence against women have been reported in 15 districts of southern Punjab since January 2012, giving some measure of the scale of the issue.
As such, the reports below can only be considered a small snapshot of the violence being wrought on the women of Pakistan.
