Zardari was elected as the President of Pakistan by the people of Pakistan. Tell me, was Karzai elected by the Afghan people as the President of Afghanistan in 2001?
Afghans don't need to be this stupid. They should realize that US will one day leave the region and India is Miles away. With no coastline and being hostile to Pakistan will definitely not help them.....
India is hardly innocent in all this.
The problem is that the Afghans have allowed themselves to be India's pawn in the past. As such, Pakistan needs to make sure Afghan territory is not used to instigate anti-Pakistan subversive activities. If Afghans can form a government that focusses on Afghan development instead of doing India's dirty work, it will be best for the region.
Karzai abandons peace talks with the Taliban

Afghan President Hamid Karzai has said his government will no longer hold peace talks with the Taliban.
He said the killing of Burhanuddin Rabbani had convinced him to focus on dialogue with Pakistan.
Former Afghan President Rabbani was negotiating with the Taliban but was killed by a suicide bomber purporting to be a Taliban peace emissary.
US President Barack Obama has renewed calls for Pakistani action against militants of the Haqqani network.

BBC News - Karzai abandons peace talks with the Taliban
Although Islamabad denies the network has safe havens inside Pakistan, the country's former national security adviser told the BBC that it was operating in North Waziristan, in Pakistan's restive tribal belt.
"Today North Waziristan is a hot bed," said Retired Maj Gen Mahmoud Durani.
"It's not just Haqqanis. Everybody who is anybody in the terrorist field is there. Although there is military (there)... I think they have a fair amount of freedom of action."
He said the army was too overstretched to take on the Haqqani group.
The BBC's Orla Guerin says that, privately, officials admit that the group is not a target for Pakistan because its members don't kill and maim inside the country.

Excellent.
Better to dispense with the duplicity and double talk of Karzai and the Afghan puppet government. There was never any doubt these guys were installed by NATO precisely as a pro-India regime. The whole reason NATO had to step in and invade Afghanistan in the first place was because India lost the proxy war with the Taliban v/s Northern Alliance.
Remember, the Taliban offered to extradite OBL but NATO was hell-bent on invasion.
You didnt invite USSR, but your strategy in response to that and subsequent invasion of Taliban was what you got into with eyes wide open.. Now You gotta take bad with the good..![]()
What dirty work of India was happening from Afghanistan before 1980's ?
The average afghan has nothing but hatred for Pakistan for their support to the taliban .
Pakhtun nationalism re: Durand line.
Don't believe Western-commissioned polls about ANYTHING in Afghanistan.
who said i was ?
and who should i believe ? Pakistanis ? Or the regular comments i keep hearing from Afghans on the net along with their government ?
Excellent.

Didn't know NATO was India's mercenary.
NATO is in Afghanistan for its own interests. Not for India's. India just happens to be on the same side as the NATO, though a very small player.
The strategy.!!! it was a military government in Pakistan, yet the champions of the free world and doctors of democracy were streamlining into Islamabad to lend their support. The Taliban, menace to the society that they are, did bring about some form of normality to that country..... besides, one shouldn't be so ungrateful, since it were the Talibans which hosted a certain Airliner which after all was twice allowed to lift off from it's own sanctuary.![]()
Pakhtun nationalism re: Durand line.
The question is not the taliban here despite your attempt to divert the topic to a certain country's act of terrorism that resulted in the hijack of the certain Airliner in question .. The point in discussion is the mess Pakistan finds itself in because of its strategy of using alliances with militants and terrorists to gain asymmetric power projection in the region. As I said, you decided to do it, you pay the price.. No matter who beelined to Islamabad, it was finally your country who decided to tow the line in hope of expanding its regional influence.. When the best laid plans back fire, this is what happens.. Like Hillary Clinton said today about Pakistan keeping a wild animal in its backyard incorrectly hoping that it will only attack its neighbours.
BTW, didn't the brethren of same people who organized the party that the taliban hosted for the airliner also decided to ensure that 2 of Pakistan's military jewels never take to sky ever.. Looks like the wild animal did have some fun with someone who thought itself to be its master![]()
