Well unfortunately, the Pakistani Army/ISI doesn't think like you do and that is the tragedy of Afghanistan.

Even Musharraf has clearly said now that Pakistan will support the Taliban and Haqqani network in Afghanistan. So is it any wonder that Afghans hate Pakistani Army/ISI?

Musharraf has never said Pakistan supported the Taliban, or the Haqqani network. No high level official in Pakistan has ever said that. Pakistani officials have always said they want a regime that isn't hostile towards Pakistan. That is all that is required from Afghanistan, but they fail to fulfill even that.

Yes and also no.

Iraq they got oil.
Afghanistan, Iraq and Vietnam gave them experience of war in different environment.

USA may be down now but can't say for the future.

Wrong. The common Pakistani doesn't care what happens in Afghanistan (who comes into power), as long as Afghan terrorists do not cross the border & start blowing up places in Pakistan, or cause political/social unrest in FATA/KPK in the name of Pashtunistan.

Recently, after intense research done by looking at all the articles regarding Afghanistan one can safely deduce the only thing that is controlled by the Afgan government is their bowel movements and that's probably it. Everything else is out of their control...

There is an inconsistency with everything coming out from the Afghan regime. At one point, Karzai calls Pakistan 'a conjoined twin', the next moment, something completely different. At one moment, he showers praises on the international forces, the next moment, he condemns the most brutal actions of these forces on innocent civilians. The Afghan people hate this puppet regime to the core. At Rabbani's funeral, most Afghans shouted 'death to the present regime'. The US are looked at as intruders & invaders. The CIA compound attack was made by a non-Haqqani Afghan employee. The Talibans have infiltrated into Afghanistan's ANP, ANA & every other agency. 500 terrorists were let go in broad daylight in Kandahar. It matters little what the Karzai regime does, it has little legitimacy in the eyes of the Afghan people. It negotiates with the Taliban, but on the other hand, fights them as well. The Afghan people are not ready to understand this contradiction.

These are not serious or responsible statements from the Afghans -- Indians themselves say that the role of the US and UK embassies in bringing Rabbani back from vaction so he can meet his assassin is suspect - the Indian Premier in his official statement says that the best tribute to pay to Rabbani is to continue his peace and reconciliation mission.

Either the Indian premier is an idiot or ..... well, you decide. If the US backed Afghan govt do not now know whom to negotiate with, one has to wonder if they ever knew. And that's both sad and dangerous, after all can such a government be trusted to bring peace to Afghanistan?

Karzai is prone to making a statement a day.....roller coaster is not quite done....watch this space.

You didnt invite USSR, but your strategy in response to that and subsequent invasion of Taliban was what you got into with eyes wide open.. Now You gotta take bad with the good..
