I am pro Indo-Afghan relationship…there is no doubt that we should build a very good relationship with all our neighbors similar to US-Canada relationship….But only one thing bothers me and i.e. extremist nature of Muslim led countries… no hurt feeling to anyone…but I am afraid, once Afghan stabilizes and it doesn’t see any active help from country like India, it should not gang up with its peer Muslim countries like Pak when it comes to issues like Kashmir which Pak has made as religion based issue….So, go steady and slow, no need to show lots of love and empathy which will hurt us badly at least emotionally if they take a U turn…..look at Bangladesh…what not we did for them, but they never became our best ally. I would prefer to keep casual relationship with everyone.
