I am a graduate of Pakistan's elite " PAF Academy Risalpur " and my training duration at the Academy was almost three long years. Our day started at 5 AM and ended with lights out at 11 PM and a pretty full day in between. There is no way that can be replicated in a 6 month Short Course even by a miracle. Something's gotta to give and that something usually is A Grade training. At least that has been my experience.

What the dickens are you talking about? Firstly, unlike the Indian Military Academy at Dehradun, the Officers Training Academy at Chennai is meant for short service commissions for both men and women. This training lasts for 49 weeks.

Their day starts at 0430hrs and ends at 2300hrs except Sundays. The amount of stuff they pack in those 49 weeks is to be seen to be believed! The gallantry awards won by them in conventional (Kargil) as well as counter insurgency ops as young officers of the Indian Army is proof enough that they've trained hard to achieve the most exacting standards required.

I really get a kick out of Indians bringing out KARGIL .

You guys do realize these were just Mujaheddin you were fighting ?

Pakistan Army regular units were not involved.

You get you rear end kicked by a minor league guys and you want to brag about it ?

By the way, if Indians had any victory in KARGIL, it was NOT Military victory, it was Diplomatic one.

The Nawaz govt. made those Mujeheddin units vacate the hill tops.
