UOP SE “SpetsTehnoExport”represents more than 20 types of aviation industry equipment in the frameworks of India’s largest specialized aerospace exhibition AeroIndia-2017, held 14 – 18 February in Bangalore.
Ukrainian exposition is represented by models of military transport aircraft by SE “Antonov”, including the
new An-132 and An-178, unmanned aircraft “Sparrow-LE” and “Sparrow” by “Spaytek,” air-to-air missiles R-27R , R-27ET and P-73, protection means for aircraft and helicopters ADROS and ASO, as well as ATGMs “Combat” by SJSHC “Artem”, air launchers by Krasylivsky Aggregate Plant. “Plant 410 Civil Aviation” and “Odessa Aircraft Repair Plant” demonstrate their potential in modernization of military transport aircraft.
11th International aerospace exhibition AeroIndia became the center of cooperation for aviation industry defense enterprises throughout Asia. World’s leading military and civilian aircraft industry companies participate in this exhibition.
Last year SFTE “SpetsTechnoExport” successfully represented Ukrainian defense industry at the international Land, Naval and Internal Homeland Security Systems Exhibition DefExpo-2016, during which a number of agreements were reached on launch of joint defense projects with India.
In the framework of participation of the State Concern “Ukroboronprom” (UOP) at “AeroIndiya-2017,” UOP representatives and top military echelon of the host country agreed to convene a joint working group on defense cooperation between Ukraine and India asap. The objective of this group is to accelerate implementation of a number of defense projects in the field of aviation and armored vehicles, ABM defense and WO, technical support for naval forces.
During the first two days of the exhibition, substantive talks with Defense Minister of India, Secretary of Defense, Secretary of State for Defense Industry, Chief of Naval Operations and Air Force Command of India were held.
Special attention was paid to the following projects:
new civil and military transport aircraft development on the base of “Antonov” aircraft, production localization of Ukrainian tactic UAVs in India and accelerating of the further modernization of the Indian fleet of AN-32. The last five of 40 AN-32 aircraft – modernized in Ukraine – were transferred by “SpetsTehnoExport” to Indian side in 2015.
Participation of Indian companies in high-priority import substitution projects – actively implemented by the SC “Ukroboronprom -” was also discussed in the framework of the program «Make in India».
The project of An-32 modernization – as well as the program on military aircraft and helicopters repair – were discussed by leadership of the SC “UkrOboronProm” and the Head of the delegation of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bangladesh Mr. Naim Nasan. The meeting took place in the framework of UOP participation at specialized aerospace exhibition AeroIndia-2017.
The meeting enhanced of a large number of projects: both sides are interested in asap implementation of those.
