Do you have the industrial base to churn out plane/subs/ or any other weapon en-mass at faster rate?Forget AMCA for next 2 decades.with in 2 yeras its design has changed twice.its just a paper plane.

for combat aircraft several designs are evaluated before design freeze(eg how many j-20 wing tunnel models came out which wer different from the actual one)............ yes i think we can build such infrastructure, when a country which cant even design cars is thinking of nuclearr subs(that too in 5-8 years which nobody has done not even china) then why not AMCA by india.......

Back on topic, why are Indians still tolerating Russians screwing things up again? As some of Indian members have long indicated, "Indian can build her own warships, from top to bottom, self sufficient", then why not take the carrier back to Indian's own shipyard and get the boilers problem fixed; surely you can build your own carrier, shouldn't be much of a problem for fixing some freaking boilers problems?

And also I see some Indian members sayings "India desperately needs the Aircraft Carrier and nuclear submarine, so India will play nice with Russia for now. "

WHY? Show some spine! don't forget to ask Russians to pay for the repairs! Surely if you buy something, like a car, if it can't have a speed over 50 miles, let's say, that will be a con; or you buy a television, its screen blows up when you turn the brightness up... That will be a blatant rip-off! You Indians are Russian's top star customer, you deserve first class service, like "on-site" repair, not "Return to base" repair. As a consumer you have a right to ask for compensation, insist that to Russians.

India is a pride nation, why can't Indians stand up for themselves and get the much delayed carrier project going again, by themselves. Indians should take the initiative, screw the Russians; Why wait for the Russian experts to assess the damage, Indian experts should rule! If Russians can't get the problem fixed, Indians will; Don't take it to Russian's shipyard, take the carrier to Indian's own shipyard, Indians are masters of their own destiny, they should get the freaking carrier fixed themselves, show the Russians how things should be properly done! Use actions, not words posted on forums! Those who questions Indian's ship-building industry will shut up, if they see Indians have fixed this carrier boiler problem that the Russians can't fix. BTW US, USSR made many tech demonstrators and none see the light of production. Even the most advanced nation is struggling with F-35. Each and every program has its own completion period. Agni developed way sooner than other missiles. many factors count in. One project may be way simpler than the other even if the basic is same.

The delay was due to a technical issue. AC is not a common vessel, only few countries operate it ... no no... not incl. China.

The Indian capability is limited and own carrier being built in Cochin shipyard is delayed, but engine and some expertise is from US mainly GE, so the delay is in other areas.

This is not the usual bike repairing.

The deal was for a fully furbished AC with training and fighters atop. The money was spend for that ..

IF the workshop owner says , it will be delayed due to technical reasons , we have to respect it as the cost of the delay will be dearer to builder only as we have paid already for all the systems. (simple financials, any online chinese e-tutor will teach )

Already we are satisfied with frigates and the nuclear sub delivary to Indian navy.

And many other prompt deliveries like:

Dude, don't quote my text, I am only quoting from your own Indian guys! you should be quoting their text! I am not the one saying Indians are "desperate", your own guys are!

I know Indians can repair bikes, the question is can Indian repair a faulty aircraft carrier's populsion? and better than the Russians? Since you can build your own ships "completely self sufficient" then that should not be a problem. "complete" should mean to include the engines, otherwise it will not be "complete". Why turn to Russian or USA for engines problems, when Indians are able to fix things yourself. But in reality if Indians can't fix problems themselves or can't build things completely themselves, then you should let your fellow countrymen know that - there are still areas needing improvements - be humble.

The last ship that India is getting from Russia. No more russian made ships. We can build our own ships now. Completely self sufficient in this field now. Indian ports today are capable of building every kind of ship. Industry is expanding by leaps and bounds. Screw russians, too slow and costly.

Sorry to say this: the way Mig-29k land is too fast compare to Su-33, I afraid that your pilot will piss in the pants in landing, the aircraft is already your pilot's enemy: see how bad it land with no weaeon load..you can imagine when the aircraft with max. load...alot will drop into sea if they missed the cable.
