"Admiral Gorshkov" Aircraft carrier delayed again for Power paralyzed

The official, who prepared the Vikramaditya for sea trials, said the reason for the boilers’ failure was that India refused to use asbestos as a means to protect the boilers from heat, fearing that the material was dangerous for the crew.

He said the boilers’ designer had to use firebrick, which proved not sufficiently heatproof, the official said.

let me tell you what will happen. russia will declare that it is india fault for not to use asbestos.so india must pay everything for repairing.

and india media will announce that the "firebrick" are made in china.......

lolz you ? go take a life beta jee

and the topic is AC again late for years here ok

Thought this Form was worth it, now my Views are changed. All, I see is Girl Talk

Hope Morderators are Watching the Quality being degraded by Grate Personalities
As it CATERS To only Pompus Pakistanis/Chinese.

imo if u can make a harrier take-off and land from a tugboat....that would be an aircraft carrier in its own right considering you cant afford a brand new carrier cause of poor economy.
Poor economy? :woot: Either you're from Mars or an illiterate who has plenty of catching up to do on the economics front. For your info and digestion, the economy of India is the eleventh largest in the world by nominal GDP and the third largest by purchasing power parity (PPP). It is one of the G-20 major economies.

India's GDP is almost $2 Trillion! And you call it a 'poor' economy? Jeeez! In contrast Pakistan is just about reaching $200 billion! (Of course, where China is concerned they are pretty much ahead with a GDP of $7.2 Trillion).

Now go catch up on your homework and do some research before spewing baloney.

LOL you seem to know intricacies of Indo - Russian relations, care to give an example of such a thing that's happened in the past can you.

India desperately needs the Aircraft Carrier and nuclear submarine , so India will play nice with Russia for now.

Indian is smart, but too disorganized and lacking fighting spirit to run a complicated project. Rely too much on others make you stuck there.

We have a long history of procurement's from Russia and we have worked around the problems and will do so in the future as well. Russians would be equally bothered about the delays as it hampers further deals on such lines with India or with any other countries where such delays creates a bad impression of their image.

Russians know that Americans are waiting with tounge out to capture the lucrative indian defence market. They cant rely on the same conventional style of playing around with Indians.

Delay makes their market share eroded by China day by day. Russian attributes the malfunction of boiler to rejection use of asbestos material by Indian side.

^ You are right buddy, even after being smart, we get trapped in such problems. Too much dependency and lack of alternatives. Not to forget delay in domestic production results in technology paralysis too.

I would rather go for USA instead of wasting time and got ripped off by Russian.

India has to keep strategic balance between USA and Russia. Easy to say but hard to do.

Can anyone give kindly for the enrichment of this thread a historical timeline of costs incurred at different stages for this project?
