The problem and the fire is which is burning our houses is Liberal Extremists Vs Religious extremists.

Just look at this topic itself. Mr. Jibran Nasir thinks he and his fellas have all the rights to freedom of expression no matter how extreme this expression is but they think others do not have same freedom of expression. Now please consider both these extremist groups accuse each other of extremism.

Only moderate people like us who are sandwiched between these two are at mercy of these both.

like pen vs gun kinda situation as you put liberal extremism vs religious extremism ... awkward af

.
you are the one accusing falsely here, infact its your page that issued fatwa like post and rejoiced over abduction of these peaceful activists.

I am following this story since yesterday and I didn't see PD fb page giving any fatwas. Can you please share the link, screenshot or anything?

.
i think these people who are issuing fatwahs and endorsing abduction and killing of civil activists via pakistan defence, dont comprehend that soon this fire will burn their own houses too.. soon their own sons and daughters maybe abducted and killed for saying anything as ignorant mullah or cruel ruler may deem unfit. @Zaki for you as well.
Not sure why you are mentioning me. The screenshot that you posted is too blurry for me to read without glasses so I couldn't even read whats going on. Please do not accuse me or us for no reason. We have never been engaged in posting blasphemous content or backed anybody of that sort.

All I know is, I am committed to my responsibility on PDF website and have nothing to do with FB page until today. Please do not accuse people without valid reason

Thank you

What the hell. Just because some people expressed an opinion on PDF they want this site banned? There are many types of fanatics in the country. The activists are most likely kidnapped by banned organizations. What has PDF got to do with this vile act? Some people like this Gibran guy severely lack a brain.

Because people like Jibran loves whining and gaining attention.

Actually this is another form of extremism taking over the world. Many believe extremism to be only religious but that is not true. Extremism hails many forms and can range liberal, feminist, secular e.t.c. liberal extremism is also a major problem not only for pakistan but for the world as well but it never gets highlighted.

I have often stated that we live in the age of extremism. Extremism is taking roots in our lives as it takes different forms. The argument maybe different, the content dissimilar but the style remains the same. Intolerance and belief that what I speak is the truth and nobody should be against me and those that are against me are wrong and strict action should be taken against them.

Its another type.

Freedom of speech is limited. This guy salman haider owner of the page "Bhensa" knew very well the sentiments of Muslims about Rasool Allah (saw). So why the hell living in a country with majority of Muslims, provoking them all with questionable actions regarding their deen (religion)?

Secularism doesn't teach to target one faith. Please let them understand what secularism means before preaching it.

In Pakistan these so called liberals and secularists think name calling Islam is the liberalism. Seriously?

Not even citizens of U.S will tolerate anything blasphemous done or expressed for their faith.
The country with the first amendment of "freedom of speech".

If Taliban are damaging Pakistan so are these fake desi liberals.

The only difference is their methods are dissimilars.

The site (PDF) is not just a source of knowledge but also debate for all segments of Pakistani society aimed at fixing the problems of Pakistan as well as addressing the wrongs in our society. It attracts secularists and liberals like me and not once have I seen any sentiment from the admins or mods against my unorthodox views or the secular path I want for Pakistan. In fact in my early days I was a young overly patriotic and chauvinistic person. I was like @Areesh or @BATMAN in my approach to Indians and was once warned about picking fights with Indians (not banned). I kind of relaxed my stance but this proves the site is committed to providing an equal environment and respect to all regardless of their stance or views, or even their nationality.

Even Marvi Sirmid made a profile here. Also if this vile action was by our security forces they would first have shut of NF Paracha and Marvi Sirmid who have a much more anti army stance than others. These people I haven't heard much about.

Now I am not saying the admins don't have their own views. Some are conservative like Horus (I am not saying he is a bad person... I respect his patriotism) though I have noted webmaster to be more open minded as well as most of the mods. This is how the world works. Gibran should come to this site and debate with us. He cannot accuse anyone without proof particularly a worldwide forum with members, some members who might agree with him on things. This forum has presented a positive view of Pakistan for a decade.

I have no issue with liberals at all. But these liberals like Jibran Nisar are dual face. I have seen his tweets. I have observed him on social media, one fake person he is.

I don't understand why this person is creating an issue. I am following this story on PD fb page and I have not seen any objectionable words uttered by the admins.

reposting with highlighter for less focused lot.

No violence is incited. The Jibran and his gang are busy trying to suppress difference of opinion. We are in touch with Jibran and we hope he will not pursue with his 'threats'.

hopefully you would back off with an apology for what you posted.

Activists rallied in Karachi over the fate of Salman Haider on Monday
Human rights groups are holding protests across Pakistan to demand the authorities trace four activists who have gone missing in the past week.

No group has said it is holding them. All four aired views critical of the military or militancy on social media.

Pakistan's parliament expressed grave concern over their fate on Monday.

The government says it is investigating the case of one of the four, Salman Haider, who has campaigned against enforced disappearances in Balochistan.

Supporters of the men accuse the security services of having secretly arrested them.

Feigning ignorance? The BBC's M Ilyas Khan in Islamabad

The disappearances have alarmed liberals involved in social activism in Pakistan, where the military has long promoted a hardline Islamist narrative as a bulwark to protect its financial and security interests.

Many believe the civilian government is feigning ignorance about the men's whereabouts, and see that as all the more reason to believe that military intelligence operatives are involved.

While pro-democracy activists have gone missing, the mosque-madrassah jihadi networks continue to occupy vast spaces in public discourse and social media in Pakistan.

And the pro-democracy lobby are coming under attack for their activism by anti-liberal accounts on social media.

Salman Haider teaches at Fatima Jinnah Women's University in Rawalpindi
Mr Haider, a well-known poet and university professor, was last seen in Islamabad on Friday, two days after bloggers Waqas Goraya and his cousin Asim Saeed went missing in Lahore.

Another blogger, Ahmed Raza Naseer, who has polio, disappeared from his shop in Skeikhupura near Lahore on Saturday.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan said it was "greatly alarmed" by their disappearance.

"The events of the last week demonstrate that the dangers already extend to digital spaces," it said, adding it could not be sure if the four cases were connected.

Human Rights Watch said the government had an immediate obligation to locate the four men and ensure their safety.

"The nature of these apparent abductions puts the... government on notice that it can either be part of the solution or it will be held responsible for its role in the problem," said Brad Adams, Asia director at Human Rights Watch.

Pakistan is one of the the world's most dangerous countries for reporters and human rights activists, and critics of the powerful military have been detained, beaten or killed.

Leading English-language daily Dawn said that the authorities could not hide an "ugly truth".

"A dark new chapter in the state's murky, illegal war against civil society appears to have been opened," it said in an editorial.

That is your own misinterpretation. NVM

Let him pursue his threats to PDF.
