InshahALLAH it will not happen by the way thanx for appritiating i want to know ur respected views in detaill i hope u can also highlight some other major flaws and weak points which PA should consider it in 2010 im sure some of highranked PA officers or defence analyst of pakistan and world is keeping an eye on our views and i hope it will work for our armed forces to buy BTR 90 or Stryker and MPRL system from china or USA which is desprately needed i hope u r with me when im right when im wrong feel free to disagree.

Go Chinese, Go indigenous and mitigate the risks involved in keeping dependencies upon western products.

In a nutshell, that J-XX we're hearing about could get some funding, build more faster and longer ranged Baburs, ICBM technology, Sub marine launch capability for missiles, better BVR missiles for all planes.

To reiterate, go Chinese, Go indigenous. Do not follow the Indian model of acquisitions, they are ahead right now, but this model would end up decaying their indigenous capability.

I grew up watching country after country refusing us F-16s and the very basic spare parts for it. Pakistan would approach the scores of F-16 operators and we'd be rejected from every corner. Agreed the situation is different today, but that time frame should be used to consolidate and remove this dependency on such a risky source.

Weren't some pakistanis saying they were smart in just buying arnaments rather then spend so much money on R&D like India and India was being foolish.

Going Indigenous is the best option in most cases, atleast we dont have to depend on other countries.

I agree with u but fighter jet is more sophisticated tech than apc today which saad apc we are using its original succesor is american and PA buyed its rights to build it in pakistani colour and name with tot we can do it with stryker but stryker is not only an option sir i mentioned BTR 90 kindly see my previous posts we can buy stryker with tot than we will not be depended on us to provide us with spare in 80s era pakistan was not able to make F 16 spares and at that time we dont have any PAC now we can build it as u said we should not depended on usa than why we buy PIA passanger planes like boeing and airbus i know these are passanger planes but in war time they can be used as bombers and these PIA work under ministry of defence pakistan than we should ban everything from USA if once they have not sold us F 16 it is not like that we will ban IBM we will ban Microsoft or Harpoon or P3C Mcinery frigates etc but we have to think twice before buying anything from USA and prepare for worst and than buy styker parts will not be that difficult to make it home than F 16 which aeronautical engineering needs but stryker dont need any aeronautical parts it needs parts like saad or different of them but our texila industries is ready to make them once we get tot

Pakistan does not need money. We need management of resources and justice with the ones who do loot khasoot. Give Pakistan these two things, we will improve in 3 years time. Get help from China on that, they will be happy to help you.

good point u made sir a fully agree with you tahts why i have thanked u by clicking the button. well so u agree that pakistan army desprately need stryker or BTR 90 and for that matter our army chief is also seriously conserned about attack helicopter from USA he wants apache very very very expansive boy so we should wait for next year to get other cheap attack heli or we buy stryker than attack heli but stryker is damn good buddy to keep before attack heli it will provide bilogical cover to our infantry but also minimize colateral demage to our infantry thanx to its state of the art arour platting system

about ur system i dont know much about it is still in trials i think and most of ur army is using USA made weapons tooo but stryker or BTR 90 is tried and tested in battlefield and we should go for them their are many 8X8 APC are available from germany and france but we INSHAHALAH go for stryker or BTR 90

Why buy old rusted costly US Humvees, when we can buy the Chinese variant, cheaper and can have no spare part or other issues in it.

Buying at end of their life will bring in more costs, in which we can buy brand new ones.

Plus, Chinese have many variants of such vehicle suiting different roles.
