AAP Delhi- 55 out of 70?

Lets see 1st month of Kejriwal and how media will hound him!!:D

.
Means he's lost the confidence of Delhi. Sometimes people choose different parties at state and national level, but a massive loss would surely indicate that people no longer agree with his vision. This election result is clear- you can hobnob with Obama as much as you want but people want corruption removed, they don't want communal politics. If Modi doesn't change his style to match these expectations, he will start losing voters and be booted out of power.
I'm sorry bro but what communalism has Modi (himself, not fringe elements in some alliance) engaged in whilst in office?

And see my reply to the corruption part in the "hot summer" thread.

I don't think this is a case of Modi losing the confidence of the Delhi people but the AAP running a better campaign and the BJP's campaign in Delhi imploding quite spectacularly. This is politics. Given the BJP have taken Mahrastra and won more seats than i ever thought they would win in JK I still think the devilment agenda of Modi is striking a chord with the people of INDIA. Delhi and the AAP is an anomaly based on very specific factors (IMHO), but I am no political scientist. This is just my take on from an objective observer.

I have a question to the BJP supporters, if the exit polls turns out to be wrong and the BJP wins, who is responsible for the win the PM or Kiran Bedi? Please answer only based on the Delhi elections!

If a loss its bedis fault , if a win then its modi .
the BJP is turning more like the congress everyday . the party shields those on top.

AAP themselves pitted Kejri against Modi in their campaign. So win or lose, Modi is the cause.

Well its a bit complicated actually. And there are many reasons for this....

1) In India, the most important factor in elections is the PUBLIC MINDSET. Most of the masses don't care about long term plans, ideologies, etc. We are still living in a country where most of the voters judje the party on free electricity, free water, subsidies, etc. This "FREE" stuff is never good for the economy, for the country, for the government. It is just not feasible.

2) As I have posted earlier, BJP's main strentgh is its core vote bank which comprises of the following:
Hardcore Hindutvadis (No denying this )
Nationalists and uber capitalists (Not really concerned about the Hindutva part)
Youngsters and first time voters who are fan of Modi and his style

In every state election, BJP's vote share hover around the 28-30% mark (atleast where it is a strong contender unlike places like Kerala). For a majority in Delhi, 30-35% is not enough, as it is the battle of ONLY TWO OPPOSING forces...

BJP and ANTI-BJP

Ask any Delhites or go through the media reports, TMC, AIMM, Congress (indirectly), SP, JDU, JDS, Left..... All are looking upto AAP to stop BJP and have declared support before the elections. Hence, its a no brainer that APP (Having a core vote share of 20%) can suddenly get around 40% of the votes.

So in a nutshell, If BJP somehow wins Delhi, it will be the extra 4-5% votes (mostly because of Modi and his strong image which will be easy for a Delhi BJP government to work with BJP at the center). In any case, Bedi was a too late a candidate to have a real impact whatsoever.
