We can fire our old missile Scud with the range of 550km-700km or Shaddock missile (550km) to the islands in SCS(east sea) to destroy China troops too, and Russia dont have kill switch in our Scud coz we got Scud tech transfer from North Korea so we can produce it as many as we want now.

So, we still win if China dare to attack our islands in SCS(east sea) coz they can not set up anti-ship missile system in those small rocks.

So, Russia wont sell our weapon information to China, coz it doesnt help China to win VN in SCS(east sea), but they surely will lost a good customer

Anti ships missiles fired from ships or airplanes too , no need to set them up somewhere
Also scud missiles ,if you mentions about trajectory ones, will be hunted by china on the air probably. (what for air missile defence systems , lots of scuds hunted by Patriot missiles in gulf war )
For now, Russia wont help china in this, but what if they deal on something to make russia giving up on east sea, and dominating any other place in the world ? strategy changes by time.

In Vietnam war US has been collected all tech infors of SAM 2, at first time we caould not shoot down any B52 with SAM 2, but with small bock upgraded by Russia, many B52 were shoot down by SAM 2.

Friends become foes if their friendships relies on one side's profit. Dont forget how soviets sacrificied to many friends of them,to keep themselves living . Today's Russia have the same policy ,as long as they are profitable , they will do anything.
Dont forget,they are not your friends, just strategic ally .
Some examples of how soviets sacrificies ;
during lenin , they sacrificied millions of people in ukraine with scarcity.
They sacrified cuba ,
they sacrified too many middle easter turkic country to save their *** among the fall of soviets.

dont think i unlike Vietnam, or i hate, or i have willing to see VN is loosing against any country, i want VN to be just INDEPENDENT ,having its own way, its own politics.
The point is, VN is silent on matters of world that russia is silent,and talks when Russia talk ,

thats not so easy to happen believe me, US doesnt just sell warships easily,they like to give their aged ships with some money,or some agreements.
US knows its well, Vietnam's current government had tendency to Russia and to listen them, they wont give their missles that easily. Maybe just some basic weapons to show off " friendship"

we don't listen to them, bro. our relation is base on interests of both side. The cold war is finished and Russia is no more socialist country. When Putin is busy with Ucrein and NATO he can not focus more on Vietnam like in the past.

In fact we interest more on warships from Nierderland and France than from USA. It is reported that France General told to media Vietnam that France is ready to provide Vietnam army with weapon. It is business.

Pls look at the Spratly position on the map first. Its too far and take too long time for China jet fighter to fly from Hai Nan base to Spratly isl to intercept our Scud, and China now also can not send hundreds warships to Spratly and dock there 24/24 hours just waiting for intercepting our Scud.

N. Korea can make Scud missile by themselves and it has a new name: Nodong missile. They transfer Scud tech to VN,so our men can get training in N.K too.
