Yes, what were the reasons for invading? What was the circumstances before the war? I have read that Chinese leaders in the past killed lots of Chinese people (I am not trying to excuse Japanese war crimes but trying to get a balanced picture). If a Japanese person wants to honor his war dead and he is not doing it in China or on a Chinese platform then you should state your disapproval and then leave him to it. Chinese honor their war dead don't they? I am sure Chinese military is not without its crimes in the past.

I am asking you to think and think things through independently of any tribunal. I am not in the business of overturning any verdicts. Can there be a fair and impartial trial pursuing justice when the judges and prosection and defence and the rules of the trial are made by the Victors?

Who wrote the (official) historical record? Was this record true and valid? Who determined that? So many questions are there, however there are forces in the world who do not want people to even ask questions. Why? Are they worried about the Truth?

The first casualty of war is Truth. (I think a wise Chinese fellow said that long ago). And History is written by the victors. I do not know much about the war in East Asia. I have studied more the European theatre and have found there to be many great lies uttered against N.S Germay by the Victors. It seems that these lies carried on to tarnish Japan as well?



A people should be allowed to respect their dead ones. No matter what race or nationality they were. If the Victors (UK, USA, USSR) are allowed this (and they were the biggest murders and oppressors on Earth), surely the vanquished should be allowed this.

You should stop your rubbish understanding of WWII. The view on WWII is not about winners vs. losers. It is about the equality and coexistence of different ethnic groups. WWII was the winning of civilization states vs. nation states. China, Soviet Union and United States are all civilization states based on ideology, supporting equality among ethnic groups. In the constitutions and laws of China, Soviet Union and United States, even though the reality may be different, activities promoting inequality among different groups are strongly prohibited, coexistence and collaboration among different ethnic groups are strongly promoted. Everyone is born equally, no matter what ethic groups they are. This view is widely accepted with the winning of WWII. French and British started to phase out colonization after WWII. Only India with caste system showed sympathy to imperial Japan and expressed the same view as you.

Even P5 won the WWII, Germany and Japanese people are not punished and still treated equally. Hitler and Showa were war criminals not because of their losing the war or their killing people and soldiers in allied countries, but because they promoted extreme nationalism and killed people of other ethnic groups at their will. If they were not punished, the human world would become a killing field. People can kill people just due to the difference in ethnic groups. German and Japan had no problem with this since most of their citizens belonged to a single group. But this can ruin countries like China, Soviet Unions and United States with many different ethnic groups. The fall of Soviet Unions made the return of nation states rampant. But as you can see, in the mid-east and former SU republics, people kill people of other ethnic groups and turn the countries into hell. This is one common ground among EU, China, Russia and United States and why we share the WWII win together. German understands this and works hard toward formation of EU. Japan doesn't regret and will deserve its price.

I respect his contribution to Panzer tactics throughout the war, but his poor performance after the Battle of Kiev had enabled the Soviets to recuperate and push the Wermacht's offensive drive into Moscow. He should have done better. I admit i am very biased w/ Guderian because of that.

There may be ideology difference among China, Soviet Union, Russia, United States and Europe. But still all of us hold the belief that every ethnic group is born equal and you cannot kill people based ethnic differentiation, like human killing animals. The difference of ideology is just about how to establish such a political system. Japan is clearly on another track.
