Look good or bad , Joe sir is a part of a diaspora representing a view .. some may agree some may not.. we may call it leftist rightist anything else as well.. but then its such rich differences which leads to different voices opinions and most importantly a way to discuss multiple views..
I as a person know I may not have the holistic 360 view.. so I need to hear such opinions.. I may agree disagree but that's what keeps me sane when I hear such opinions bcz it allows me to understand the issues better..
I won't say Joe sir was too harsh but Joe sir is an angry young man even when he has just touched 66 years few days back. To me when I hear his words even though it's harsh, I take it with a spirit that may be a fatherly figure scolded me. It may be strange but no one knows I got a earful from him when I write anything inaccurate, wrong and something whuch may have a political vendetta of distortion.
Of course his anger at times gets better of him and i am sure Joe sir will say with honesty it's one thing which he would have marked for his own self improvement. We are human beings, one of the most intelligent life forms and we thrive to constantly evolve and become better.
Having said that I won't lie at times debates turns a bit too hot headed, I for one was hoping a Indian moderator would have been good to moderate and maintain some semblance in this so that every opinion is heard but not quashed. We may rationally and logically be at loggerheads but still we should respect and gear each others opinion out. After all uts one of the pillars of democracy at its very root level.
And that is why it's a very sad day for me when I read both Sir Gary and Joe Sir leaving in such a short time.
I wish he comes back , a man with a little more calmness and a lot more spirited .. so that such discussion and debate can continue.. but devoid of the anger both sides are feeling atm.. we might miss a solid chance to know more about our country if Joe sir decides to quit forever.
People may not have noticed but
@AUSTERLITZ is also lot more busy nowadays. It takes away sheen and brilliance of this wide Indian diaspora which deals in so many interesting topics..
I hope we don't lose out such voices and opinions..i really hope so..
