A Mother's feeling about Indian Army

Lol.
Video from 2009-10 about a captain who died back in 2002.

BTW the woman does not even know that her son died in Pooch sector in 2002 & not in 1999 Kargil war.

Feel sorry for her, personally, but what she was saying was not really balanced.

feel bad for a mother who lost her son but when somebody joins army, he/she knows the risk. parents always want the perfect army, the best weapons/equipment to be available, unfortunately no army in the world(let alone a poor country like India) can meet that...

Everything is good in pak and Chinese army.I heard they are the best and always take a knee before their commander.
Let talk about pakistan army ,The best..

Leave them out of it. Unaharu-lai gali diyero hamiharu ko paltan kasari ramro hunchha?

Correction: Do not join Indian army.

99% indeed

Why? because she is speaking the truth?

No. Because she was talking about mountain boots and specialised equipment. Units transferred from the plains, other than units transferred to duty at Siachen, don't always get that kit. I understand a mother's grief, but her points of grievance were wrong.

Not at all she was quite right when you send newly inducted officers and soldiers you must send them to front with proper equipment or else trained battle hardened persons.
Captain Kalia is one of the example.

Yes, but the OP doesn't know how to spell, and he doesn't know how to count.
Let me know how to spell.

There was nothing improper about the equipment. He was wearing regulation boots.

Let me know how to spell.

Only one 'r' in gaenger (I can't put in an umlaut, before you start screaming).

The difference is in Pakistan half of school children dream of joining army.
what a terrible waste of human resource.. unless your country is facing existential threat or does not have proper jobs, this is terrible... i hope most kids outgrow this fantasy and get jobs that is appropriate for their skill.... the best and brightest should build the country and bring progress to the world, not do silly ek do ek do march in the morning.

You mean you just said in code that you couldn't pick a hole in my answer? OK, let's leave it, but do ask for a change in your nick; it's quite easy.
Genius, I can't use doppelganger without extra R since somebody else picked up that nick.

It has to do with the culture of the place, by 1947 56% of British Indian army(minus the Gorkha units) consisted of Punjabis(both Western and Eastern), Pathans and Baluch. These are 3 of the 4 major ethnic groups of Pakistan so naturally a military career is deemed prestigious by most Pakistanis. I think same will be true for your part of Punjab and Haryana I believe.

Her Turk asker do'ar - Every Turk is born as a soldier...
The dream of every Turkish mother is to see her son in the uniform!!! It's possible due to the compulsory military services for all able bodied males....
