Unfortunately the trend in the US is pushing Muslims toward a lack of religiosity, while holding onto only the national political and cultural identity of being a Muslim.

Kinda disagree here the reason is because American Muslims come from different nationalities in Germany most are Turks Arabs in France Pakistanis in UK easy to rally around in multicultural nations like US,Canada Australia you have folks from secular lifestyle nations like Turkey,Lebanon,Azerbaijan,Albania,Kosovo,Bosnia or the ex CAS Soviet states add in more religious folks from Yemen Pak BD,Or etc they don't mix well hence why multiculturalism is a failure Muslims should embrace a healthy dose of nationalism to rally around from their homelands

Most of those links you listed have ISIS as the group to speak against and protest. But I ask where does ISIS get its recruits from.

For example, if a ISIS recruit comes from South Asia or South East Asia, he will be a Deobandi / Tableeghi Jamaat activist. If the recruit is from Africa, mostly his ideology will be from the Muslim Brotherhood. And so on. This cannot be denied.

It is these base ideologies that need condemnation by the Muslims. Condemning ISIS is easy. Try condemning the base ideologies.

That is why we must applaud these Sri Lankan Muslims who condemned so clearly against the NTJ suicide-bombing terrorists by removing the NTJ mosque permanently.

You can say Sri Lankan Muslims were pressured or not but they are doing something to counter extremism groups, I wonder what would have happened to Christians in Pakistan if Christian suicide bombers had blown themselves in mosques killing hundreds.
