In BD, Deobandis who propagate Tabligh, demolishes Salafi Mosques. Its a good riddance. Can you again confirm what these NTJ propagates. What little I know, these were Wahabis.

The only branches of Islam who are actually peaceful are Sufis and Shias. Most of the Islamic terrorist groups are Sunnis mainly Wahhabi/Salafi, Deobandi and Barelvi. Hanafis are generally ok however they are also extremist to a greater extent.

NTJ mosque in Kekirawa demolished by Muslims

A mosque used by the National Thawheed Jama'at (NTJ) at Madatugama in Kekirawa was yesterday demolished by the area Muslims and devotees of the main mosque.

Trustee of the main mosque M.H.M. Akbar Khan said the mosque used by the NTJ was built with the funds of an organization based in a foreign country.

He said they had decided to demolish the mosque considering the current situation in the country and said there was no need of two mosques. (Kanchana Kumara Ariyadasa)

Let me mention one of their misdeeds. Some years ago, there were some Tableeghi brothers in IBM company's branch in Bangalore in South India. These brothers demanded from the management a place in the office a place and time to pray, without thinking that this might inconvenience others. They got what they wanted. Now what these brothers should have done is created an employee union ( IBM-USA has union system ). But all they cared for was prayers. In 2014, the management at IBM-Bangalore removed people ruthlessly ( the number was in thousands ), without notice. To put a medium story short, if the Tableeghi brothers had cared more for people ( by forming an employee union ), there would have been a system to question the company's ruthless action.

You dont have total knowledge here, so sorry. BD total branch of Islam is Sunni. And Hanafi branch of Islam is practiced here. Deobandi, Berelvi, Sufi etc identify themselves to this order. Sufism on its own are sometimes different practice. Shia Islam is a nutcase by its own way . Majority of BD are Islam>Sunni>Hanafi>Then everything. These branches are ingrained into BD society good or bad. But mostly peaceful. Wahabi/Salafi/JeI are different branch of followers of Sunni Islam. They say they dont follow any branch of Islam but Islam itself. But actually they follow Hanbali version of Sunni Islam from Arabia. It stirred conflicts in traditional Islam practice in BD, cause of extreme elements. These guys have many faults in their beliefs which was difficult to address before but lately they are dealt nicely.

The Tableeghi Jamaat brainwashes its followers into a more extreme version of the faith. People under its influence take their faith in a more literal and less philosophical sense.
This opens up a path towards violent extremism in a subsection of the population.

But the fact remains that a mosque is not of utmost importance in Islam, unlike a temple is in Hinduism.

I have seen some people use "House of God" to denote a mosque. It is wrong because such a statement would denote idolatry.

Also, understanding this would lead to resolution of the Babri Masjid controversy in India.

Jamat e Islami are Sunni Hanafi Deobandi in thought. They are from Maulana Maududi, who was also big on proper orthodox Sufism/Tasawwuf.

Also it is not necessary that every Wahhabi or Salafi is an extremist and terrorist, this too broad of a characterization for such a large amount of people.

Coming to Tableeghi Jamaat, they are an apolitical non-sectarian Islamic missionary group (similar to Jehovah’s Witness, Jesuits, and moderate Evangelists.)

Maulana Ilyas, their founder, was an Islamic scholar and also a Sufi. He was strict about not getting involved in personal differences, and only spending time in doing Ibadat and fixing the hearts of men who strayed from the masjid.

In the West, they are the only nationwide group which holds strongly to traditional Islam, as the rest have become more political, cultural Muslims (Muslim Brotherhood and Jamat e Islami,) Western Salafi extremist (mostly converts and second/third gen,) or heretic groups (NoI, Mormon Science, Quranist, Ahmadiyya, cult Sufi/Yogis.)

But the thing is humans are not rational. The mosque was used by the terror group, meaning that people will associate it with terrorism. The same reason nobody wants to live in a house where someone has died.
