Oh look!!! Pirelli copied F1 tyre tech from Michelin!!!

Do not feed the trolls.

We need our flag planted on the moon, go ISRO get us the moon:yahoo:
as has been said many times, there are many countries with moon on flag, but few countries with flag on moon. it is pretty clear which cattegory pakistan falls into, considering its only achievement is having more un sponsored terrorists than any other state and constantly getting isolated and humiliated in front of the whole world.

. .
Excited for the mission, it's been a long time coming. Chandrayaan-1 was an astounding success, and this one is both a lot more mature and ambitious. Hope everything goes well, ISRO has been doing top notch work this last decade!

there are many indians in nasa so it is easy for india to develop their own space mission so we should not be surprised if they land unmanned spacecraft on moon.Space race seems good when your public living standard is good like in u.s and europe. It is better india should first focus on removing poverty from their country and spend money to deal with water crisis which their poor public are facing instead of entering in to space race and first compete with u.s and other developed countries in removing poverty and raising lifestyle of poor public of india

It will be better if we discuss how we can put our people in NASA rather than lecturing them on what they should do. They are doing far better than us....in all the areas......period!!

To provide an argument to the contrary. The assertion above is not new, and does not really have to do only with India. Over the decades - and in all countries, when public monies were earmarked for scientific development and the pursuit of pure knowledge there were always voices that tried to stop said activities while simultaneously using the excuse of "bigger, more fundamental and pressing priorities" to justify their actions. In essence, the argument was that "we cannot fund science while the people in the world/our country are starving".

This is a fallacy. First of all, we are not talking about a space race here. Secondly, the funds concerned are small, ISRO has been doing a lot of things with about a quarter of what other space agencies have traditionally available. Thirdly, this is not a competition. They are doing good science and working on a solid, well paced plan, not shooting for a headline.

Lastly, this is essentially another take on the primordial question "bread or cannons?". If any and every defense conscious person can deconstruct that fallacy competently, any STEM focused person should have no problem of doing the same with this one too.

Do you seriously believe that India should shut down its Scientific programs and pour entire money into alleviating poverty? If there is no progress in terms of scientific development, what happens to the human resource of our country who are into science? Should they go jobless and expect the govt to pull them out as well, if so, how?

And what happens after the people are out from poverty, with no scientific advancements, where will they go for job? ISRO is not entirely govt funded but is also earning its revenues through commercial launches.

India to your surprise is pouring in billions to improve sanitation, housing for all, health insurances for all and in alleviating poverty.

We are not making scientific strides at the expense of poor. Compare the cost of our missions with that of the west and/or even China and you will know how cost efficient our programs are.

.
scientific development which directly or indirectly help public is beneficial going on moon has no benefit for public and is merely showoff just like ussr did to copy u.s but broke down due to lack of focus on public welfare and alleviation of common public.Low cost are due to low wages which reflect your public miserable living standard and you are third world nation. In long run you will fail

Ignore him. These moon flag people are just jealous they don’t have the capability to actually go to the moon.

This is another reason why you need to prioritize "education" otherwise we would leave a billion of us as dumb as you, a fate we cannot afford. If low wages were the only reason for low cost then Somalia or Pakistan should have been up there now.

If somalia and Pakistan spend on space program then no doubt it will be much cheaper than india but we are not allocating our budget for space program as our major focus is to improve our public living standard and removing poverty .Once this is achieved and our economy is strengthened in real means unlike your artificial economy in which large no of public is living worst than animals we will lead in space race also INSHALLAH

Did it improve? India's GDP per-capita in 1960's was 1.5% lower than that of Pakistan but today we are 16.4% higher. You gave up on everything for poverty but still failed to catch up? is that what I am to imply from your argument?

However Pakistan does need to be given its fair share of credit for launching Hubble Space Telescope:pakistan:.
