Mumbai—While the war of generals in which two Indian Generals, General Deepak Kapoor and General Vijay Kumar Singh divided the Indian army into tow groups to make personal gains, the Indian cricket team is now reported to be standing divided in 2 groups, one lead by Skipper Mahindra Singh Dhoni and the other being headed by stormy opening batsman Virender Sehwag, reveal the findings of The Daily Mail.
The Daily Mail’s findings indicate that exclusion of in-form bowler Amit Mishra for P.Ojha in second test at Dhaka bought the rift in Indian Cricket. These findings indicate that now there are two groups in the team, one led by the skipper Dhoni who has support from Yuvraj, Harbhajan, Pragyan Ohja etc and the other camp led by Sehwag has support of all Delihi players including Gambhir, Ishant sharma, Amit Mishra. This became more evident when Ishant sharma, during a post match press conference, thanked Virender Sehwag for including him in the team for the current series with Bangladesh..
The Daily Mail’s findings indicate that difference off opinion between MS Dhoni and Virender Sehwag was pretty clear when both gave contradicting opinions on how they assessed the strength of the Bangladesh team. Apparently, leg spinner Amit Mishra, who had a seven-wicket match haul and an impressive half-century to his credit in the Chittagong Test, was excluded from the playing XI of the Dhaka Test at the last minute. He was replaced by left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha.
According to sources, captain MS Dhoni and vice-captain Virender Sehwag had disagreement over inclusion of Ojha in place of Amit Mishra, who had done rather well in the last Test.

I think, what the team wants is more important than personal desires,” Youvraj was reportd saying by Indian media in 2008 when the news about his and Dhoni’s rift started appearing in the press.

These findings indicate that the entire drama took place just ahead of the crucial Adelaide test match in january 2008, in which India needed to redeem its pride by levelling the series. But the mutinous developments dented the morale of the team Confirming the rift in the Indian team, Indian News Channel Zee TV reports that amidst outstanding performance by the Indian bowlers on the first morning of the Mirpur Test, news of a rift in the Indian camp over selection issues has raised fresh concerns over the growing factionalism in the team.
Zeenews has accessed documents which suggest that while Amit Mishra’s name was included in the initial playing eleven prepared by the team management, it was struck off after the team meeting on the eve of the Test and replaced by Pragyan Ojha. Reports suggest that Mishra was replaced by Ojha at the insistence of skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni.
A heated debate over the issue is said to have taken place at the meeting where Dhoni is believed to have convinced the management to include Ojha in the playing eleven and leave out Mishra.
