A Brigadier’s Daughter Has a Cracking Response for Those Who Say ‘Army Doesn’t Deserve Defence Mein

Is the pay great more than does the female have her own independency of moving or going shopping without excessive security or taking the driver, unless she doesn’t know the way
the wife of an Officer isn't COAS she won't get those SSG guards and protocols

Yes, you are free... The army isn’t really conservative. I would personally say that despite a few sacrifices, your lifestyle would be better compared to marrying someone in the private sector.

She can move anywhere, only wife of a Brigadier or above gets security along. Not below.

the pension they get is enough of Thank you don't you think ? The whole concept behind Pension is that " Aap hamy apni jawani dy ham aapka burhaapa lety hy".

Exactly. A Colonel get Plot in Defence, Agricultural land, Pension etc. but a sepahi get only Pension that too very little. Agar dena he hay sab ko aik jesa do, nahe to kisi ko b na do. A colonel get paid for his services every month. he get pension too. so why a Plot then ? kia khaas kia hy ?
A Colonel dosent get agriculture land , And For sipahi I dont know about army but in air force men and JCO's are given plots in diff fazaia housing societies.

you wont get any security unless your husband is general

is she going to marry 60+ years old Lt General bcz this is the only way she can become general
However the wife is the COAS, Army rule dictates that the wife is always one rank higher.

Does she have access to her own privacy and what if she wants to send her kids to private grammar schooling or goes abroad? Can he travel with her?

Yes. There are no such restrictions, you'd only require NOC by the army which is easily acquired.

Btw, rishta aya hai kya?

you can do whatever you want,
Army will never interfere in your personal life

If you can afford to send children to a private grammar school and go abroad then yes however 9/10 you will likely not be able to afford it.

nop. Officers do send their children to expensive private schools. Army Public School isn't cheap for civilians already.
