My father is a high ranking army officer, a Brigadier who has his board next year Insha Allah. With seniority and posts, we have gotmultiple cars, drivers, cooks, sweepers, 5-bedroom houses – all luxuries of life, Alhumdullilah. However, that in no way means we have nothing to worry about.

Despite being a Brigadier in the army, my dad has twice been posted in various divisions in Swat in the last 3 years. He has a gorgeous 2 room annex, an SUV as well as numerous people working there for him. Alhumdullilah, hum faujiyon ke pass, (with seniority), Allah ka diya sab kuch hota hai, siwaye zehni sakoon ke.

When I see my mom waiting for my dad’s call every night, when I read articles online that give me chills, stories about Shauhdah, not knowing if you’ll ever get to hear him, it feels terrifying. There are numerous operations going on in these hard areas every single day, Taliban (outlaws) being caught and officers of all ranks being targeted, so much stuff that doesn’t make it to media and isn’t even discussed at my place, but when I sometimes hear my dad on phone calls, it gives me chills. What keeps them going? I think it’s the passion for the country!

The army really doesn’t pay much and doesn’t guarantee life either, yet thesebahadur soldiers dedicate their lives to the country. The depressing part is seeing people filled with so much hatred for the army.

To all the people who say the army is purely sifarish:
Guys, no institute is bad. It’s just a few people because of who everyone gets a bad reputation, and that’s not only true in this case, it happens everywhere.

During my dads years in the National Defence University, he delivered quite a few lectures at NUST. 3 years ago when my brother applied there, he didn’t fill up his form properly, so he couldn’t get into the discipline he wanted, yet NUST offered him an admission in ANYTHING without an entry test, which my dad straight up denied and he ended up going to GIKI.

To all the people who say army sara budget khaa jati hai, guys, you don’t have any idea how we’re not just about borders par bethna. In every cantt., the army has numerous vocational training centers operating where all army wives are bound to work without pay, they run schools for JCOs children, teach embroidery, art, computer and grooming courses to their wives and daughters. Also, they provide them with degrees and the right equipment, such as embroidery machines, etc. to start up their own career.

So the moral is, even if shauhdah ki familiesget a Defence mein bangla, THEY LOSE THEIR FATHER, HUSBAND, SON, AND, NOT EVERYONE IS A SIFARASHI! WE ARE MUCH MORE THAN AS SEEN ON THE TV! AIK MNA KUCH ACHA GESTURE KAR DE, THE MEDIA IS AFTER IT, BUT HERE, SINCE THE PURPOSE ISN’T ATTENTION, WE DON’T EVEN LET OUR GOOD STUFF OUT!

It’s not until one embraces Shahadat that people have something good to say, and sometimes none of that either

Army have been looting Pakistan for decades. They have given us lollipop of occupied Kashmir and afghani terrorism. Both conflicts started by them. Now its time to take back all their privileges which isn't even enjoyed by armies in developed world.

There are NCBs (former batmans) are present since the day these kids are born. Throughout their life all they do is nothing instead of visiting their father's unit and acting like a boss. They do not learn the harsh realities of life as compared to a person who works out by himself.

True that .
I cannot stand their showbaaz kids who only had their father's job, good home nd english accent to demean other kids .. Lmao

Haha..ek din men chabi tight hojaegi...They're gonna lose all these perks, memberships at garrison clubs, horse riding clubs, mufta dinners, tambolas, staff cars for shashkay. No Modern Army has such culture except Pakistan Army.

But indian army has it and they are still far worse than ours, I think they still have regular soldiers as batman.

Army primarily looks for candidates with unnecessary ego and pride. I know dumbs who joined the Army due to their nature to dominate another one ahead for no reason. During my days in ISSB, we had much "resourced" lad in our room who'd get naked in front of us and bully every other guy. He was recommended and later came into merit. I wonder what he's gonna do once he becomes a CO? God save us.

As far as I know Army doesn't need a very smart lad. They need a person who is obedient and show discipline when insulted by a senior and has a average person IQ.

Neh. It's not about IQ neither about discipline. Most of the lads who are recommended by the ISSB are bad at discipline and respect.

This brigadier daughter is bought up on haram ka maal so she is going to defend it.
Some of the worst and spoiled kids belong to this general kernal mafia.

these idiots only deserve spanking..they have even failed their basic duty of securing a border.
70 thousand Pakistanis died as a direct result of their failures...

Usually the trash of society goes to the army..only the air force guys get top talent because they need to operate high end machines...even then if someone is really smart they can make a career on ground.

Thats BS man... only a very few retired officers with connections make it to FFG... also educational degree and experience counts.. several officers actually do MBA etc during their service..

Well. let's agree to disagree.

A Colonel dosent get agriculture land , And For sipahi I dont know about army but in air force men and JCO's are given plots in diff fazaia housing societies.

Allah kary aisa he ho.

2 star General earns a salary of Rs150,000 or $1,500 or £1,200 per month.

But the perks are good and so is the retirement.

Now look at the full career from 2LT to Gen, 30 or so years. Imagine years of training, thousands of days under the blazing sun in dust and whatnot, families on a constant move, postings away from family and always ready to lay down their lives for the nation.

A house, plot etc at retirement, pension etc is a small reimbursement for years of such service ... Heck a civil servant in UK with a service of 20 years walks away with more cash in hand at retirement than a PA officer with 20yrs of service.

I first heard the time “Fatima ka bhai” from a serving colonel of the Army.

So clearly this pampered sweetheart needs to realize that her father is going to count as the one percenter and even if not corrupt still will make a lot for less and less effort as he gets to the top.

couple of years ago my father bought some 85 acres of land from a active duty brigadier.
he was also aloted some other properties.
i don’t know much but in our neighborhood another colonel named shahid maybe has 52 acres.
