We should follow the example set by Turkey in this regard so that all the mosques will be under govt control and have a govt-paid Imam.IMHO that should be the ultimate goal of our govt to eradicate all those instances of hate speech.

Imams should pass government designed courses and preferably have secondary education at least before they can preach Islam to other people. Our people are heavily religious and rely on Imams to guide them spiritually. This reliance has made many Imams use their power for personal gains. Until we sort this issue out, our society will degenerate into new low's, and we will only have ourselves to blame for any more terrorist attacks and bombings.

We already have a very good example from our military. All military branches control their mosques VERY strictly. Each mosque in each cantt/airbase/naval base has an officially appointed imam. And this imam has to pass exams etc set up by authorities. The best part is that the sermons for Jumma, Eid etc are officially dictated and any deviation from it results in immediate punishment.

Now only if we could implement it nationwide ..
