82.5 million people (50% of total populatiion) use phone in Bangladesh

I have a feeling that this 50% figure is a kind of little made up. The truth may be 82.5 million sets are in circulation but less than 50% of the population are using it. Still great.

True. In India its normal to own more than 1 sim but with the advent of dual sim (even triple sim) cell phones (even Nokia/Samsung models) the number of sets in circulation are going down.

lol the sim owning is a bit funny in Dhaka, almost everyone i saw owned multiple sims. One to talk to lovers at night, one to talk in the day time and sometimes even to hide from lenders ...Hell even i had 2....one for official use and family...one just for girls
