8 NEED-TO-KNOW FACTS ABOUT The American Health Care Act

. . .
Explains your rabid hatred for socialism.
It is very simple -- government control.

Why is that so difficult to understand ? Do not mix up social assistance programs with socialism.

. .
Buddy, you are no more 'advanced' than US. Cash, checks, credit cards, or even if you go cashless, as long as you need money, you are no more 'advanced' than US. All you have done is have one iteration after another of the representation of money.

As long as You use cars, this:

is only an iteration of this:

and thus no more advanced.

.
So what do you hate about the ACA?
Everything about it.

It has nothing to do with politics, even though it is inextricably tied to politics. I just hate -- on principles -- of anyone but me ( or my legal designators ) on what to do with my body. If the Repugnicans tries something similar, I would still object as vehemently. I do have liberal middleclass neighbors who turned against the ACA once they -- as Pelosi stated -- found out the details of the law. Some of them literally had to make the bi-weekly paycheck choice of either food on the table or health insurance. It is that binary. No middle ground.

The idea that we should have health care for everyone regardless of wealth/income is a noble one that I have no problems of supporting. But it is the EXECUTION of this noble idea that gets under everyone's skin. On the one side, we have a group who wants nothing but the government to be responsible. Then on the other side, we have a group who insists on pure market based no oversight methods. The ACA tried to be that middle ground and it failed -- spectacularly.

In principles, health care is only a 'right' in the sense that no one can exclude you from ACCESSING any avenue to health care. You have no more right to health care than you have a right to enter my house without my permission. The idea that if someone created a product then by virtue of being in a community bound by a social contract, everybody have a 'right' to that product is nothing short of Marxism/communism.

It is very simple -- government control.

So do you hate the EPA, FBI, ATF, DOD, USDA, DOJ, Homeland Security, Treasury, VA, FDA, National guard, Army, Navy, Air force? These are all government created and controlled agencies. I don't understand why Americans have rabid paranoia for the government.

The Federal Government created the FBI.
Everyone has the right to be protected by the FBI against Federal Crimes.
Does that make the U.S. a Marxist state?

What the goverment decides to fund is up to the majority in a democratic nation.
If the majority decides that affordable health care should provided to anyone,
then this does not make it Marxist/Communist.

Communism means abolishment of private property and everything is owned collectively.
A Marxist state is self governing and lacks a government.
You seem to propose Marxism, by beeing antigovernment.

.
So do you hate the EPA, FBI, ATF, DOD, USDA, DOJ, Homeland Security, Treasury, VA, FDA, National guard, Army, Navy, Air force? These are all government created and controlled agencies. I don't understand why Americans have rabid paranoia for the government.
You are taking things to the absurd.

Those are security oriented organizations, as in providing security against threats against the country and persons. None of them have any DIRECT control over my personal life, not like health care laws.

As for American paranoia against the government in general, ever heard of the saying 'All monsters are humans' ?

If all monsters are humans, then the most monstrous things to date mankind have suffered have been at the hands of governments. All the good things that governments have done do not excuse all the harms that governments have done. If anything, the good serves only to attempt to rehabilitate the image of the governments for all the harms they have done.

.
In that case, you should work for the principle to be applied to the US Armed Forces.
Each soldier should have a private insurance, if he so chooses.
The Medical Corps should be abolished.
No need for the Government to compete.

Or more to the point what is the government doing having an army at all?
By Gambits logic each and every American should be responsible for their own defence, stop government interference in my armed forces choice.
Add in fire brigade, police clean water education all government interference and must be stopped

The Military, Police, Fire Brigades etc. are collectively owned, and thus are all Communist
organisations, and You have been employed by one of them.
You also support their presence, so that makes you a (partial) Communist.
Some but not all Health Care here is publicly owned, making it non Communist.

Health care laws have no control over Your life over here.
Yesterday, I enjoyed another free session at a privately owned physiotherapy company
I choose, because they have good references and are conveniently located,
five minutes walk from my appartment.
I fail to see how the government have direct control.
The physiotherapeut is clearly not Marxist since the government pays for the
treatment, and not Communist, since it is privately owned.
Taxing is not Communist.

The evils performed by Governments, generally has been performed by
the Military and the Police, which You think are neccessary.
Healt Care departments are rarely the culprit here, even if the odd cases may exist.
How many of the dead during World War II, were because of Health Care inrentionally
tried to kill people vs how many dead because of the Military.

You support only the "evil" organisations of Government.

It is good advice to stop digging, when You are in a hole.

That is a stupid analogy.

First...Your Sweden is STILL using paper checks, a thing that you mocked US as backwards.

Second...The analogy is applicable only if your Sweden drives one iteration of the car while Americans drives the older versions.

We both know that both countries uses paper checks, credit cards, and other forms of money transfers.

Third...The US is a much larger country with inherent barriers that make changes more challenging than your wee bit of a country. The US State of Texas is bigger than you.

And finally...It is hilarious that a Eurosnob would use the American invention of the Internet to say his country is more 'advanced' than the US.

There are still "veteran" T-Fords rolling on streets.

The last time I saw someone write a cheque in Sweden was last Millennia.
The fact that You can still do it, does not mean that it is normal in use.

Your money transfers is based on Your bank account, which means that Your salary goes
directly to Your bank account, or more frequently, it goes to Your companys bank account,
and that bank automatically transfers the money to your account.

You can directly transfer money from home to any bank account, regardless of which bank it is in Sweden. Login to you bankaccount using your bank id smartcard and a pin code.
If it is the same bank, you just need the account number. If it is a different bank,
you need a 4-5 digit "clearing number" which uniquely identifies the bank office.
If You want to do an international transfer, you use the IBAN/SWIFT codes
which identifes bank, office and account. Otherwise it is no different.
It is very easy to do International Payment.

If a crime is committed, the bank account allows the police to pinpoint the culprit.

Companies typically have a "giro" account, which is a 7-8 digit number
and when You get a bill, You alse get an OCD number identifying the bill,
so you make a payment using those two numbers and the amount.

If I have a contract with a utility company, mobile operator or any company I trust,
I set up electronic billing, so the bank will accept the bill and automatically make the payment
in time, free of charge.

If I have a company, that is automatically fed into my bookkeeping, so I save time.

Apps connect my mobile phone to different things like parking, public communication
so I do not need to find ticket machines.
Usually, I pay for a month of public communication, but If I know that I wont be using
it frequently, I use another access card, which is setup to automatically refill from my
bank account, so I never run out of tickets,

If I want to transfer money to a friend, an app (Swish) will do a wire transfer between
our accounts, and I only need to know his mobile phone number.

If I am worried about beeing robbed of my phone, I only use my bank-id card
where I login to my bank using my free of charge bank terminal (USB Card Reader) and PIN code.
The bank id card is also connected to my tax account, so I can login and handle tax business.
My car parking on the street is connected to the bank account and automatically withdrawn
once per month.
So are the road tolls in and out of Stockholm. Automatically billed an payed.
Accounts use the bank id for login.

And no, I did not say the Sweden was more advanced than the US.
I said that the banking system in Sweden is more advanced than the banking system in the US

Have not been to the US for five years, and at that time, You were WAY BEHIND.
If You have caught up since then, You are to be congratulated.

The fact that your country STILL have provisions for financial transactions via paper checks makes you no more 'advanced' than US, pal. When your country's legal system and banks make it official that paper checks are no longer valid tender, come talk down to US. Else -- STFU.
