7 Pakistani Rangers killed in retaliatory firing at International Border in Kathua: BSF

Seven Pakistani Rangers were killed on Friday in retaliatory firing by the Border Security Force (BSF) at the International Border in Kathua, Jammu & Kashmir. The BSF also neutralised a terrorist attempting to infiltrate the Indian side of the border. The firing first began around 9.35 am and it continued for nearly 40 minutes. A BSF jawan was injured in the ceasefire violation by Pakistan. They resumed firing around 12.15 pm at two forward Indian positions at Bobiyan in Hiranagar sector of Kathua district, sources said.


Ever since India carried out surgical strikes across the Line of Control causing sufficient damage to terrorists and those shielding them last month, Pakistan has been resorting to mortar shelling and small arms fire at one or the other place along the borders in Jammu region. It continued lobbing mortar shells, besides resorting to automatics and small arms fire along the LoC in Rajouri district’s Manjakote area of Bhimber Gali sector throughout Wednesday night.

The Indian troops retaliated appropriately. There had been no casualty or damage on the Indian side. Pakistani troops have resorted to firing in Rajouri sector also this afternoon.

JAMMU: Seven Pakistani Rangers and one terrorist were killed in retaliatory firing by the Indian Army at the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district today, the Border Security Force has said.

On Wednesday night, BSF troops had foiled an infiltration bid in the Hiranagar sector. Today, Pakistani Rangers targeted a BSF area domination exercise along the International Border.

Pakistani Rangers opened fire by sniper rifles this morning; one BSF jawan was hit and is in critical condition, the BSF said.

"Pakistani Rangers resorted to small arms firing on a forward border out post (BoP) along the IB (International Border) in Bobiya area of Hiranagar sector in the district at 0945 hours today," a BSF officer said.


Pakistani troops used small arms, automatic weapons and 82 mm mortars bombs to target Indian positions, he said.

India and Pakistani troops have been exchanging fire in the Hiranagar sector for the past four days.

There have been over 30 instances of ceasefire violations by Pakistan along the International Border and the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir after the Indian Army conducted surgical strikes in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir last month.

Let me tell you that losses are counted when you actually cross over the body and see him die. That means that in cross border firing where posts to posts are firing at each other a loss can never be ascertained until the opposing side reveals it.

The best you can say in cross border firing sequence is that " we are sure there must be losses on the opposing side"

But Indian media is the most unprofessional and pathetic form of news source in the world.

If Indians wish to believe it then so be it. Nobody can stop delusions.

Don't worry nothing of this sort has happened. Even if had happened then must be "innocent" civilians might have died trying to cross border. IA killing any pak rangers is impossible until worlds only truth speaking agency namely ISPR says it.
