62% Bangladeshi users to have smartphones by 2025: Report

.
Dee-jee-tull Fokinni !!

According to that list Bangladesh has higher cellphone penetration than India and Pakistan but who really knows??

What matters is how many are actually made locally.

Illegal IMEI numbers should be caught and deleted. Govt. must step up the enforcement.

That way local smartphone makers can sell a few more units.

A lot of my family now have Walton branded phones, they work great like any phone branded phone loaded with Android.

iPhones are still the most sought after, but majority of them are getting it sent from overseas.

Well a lot of people in USA use Walton designed and manufactured phones without even knowing it as they are an OEM supplier to the US market.

I mean how can you say that with a straight face. Walton exported in all of $11 million in electronics in 2020.

I will engage to highlight the rapid expansion of Walton exports over the last couple of years.

Yes in just the first 3 months of 2021, they crossed the exports for the whole of 2020. Try and keep up.

Walton will expand sales to no less than 21 Europeans countries this year.

Below is Walton TVs stacked up on shelves in Romania where they started selling this year.

Walton should start exploring Maghreb, Gulf and Eastern and Southern African markets which they are doing - but they need to step up the pace. Ditto with Brazil and South America. Indians are making a killing in those markets, despite the dhokeybaaj low quality of their products, that too assembled with Chinese parts which give some semblance of operating function.

Consumers deserve a good product for the money they pay - and that includes Indian consumers. Too bad Indian banyas are a spoiled lot and can't compete.

Notice how desperately Indian Banyas are resisting export of Walton products to India, using Sanghi politicians and their influence. Once the onslaught of Bangladeshi products begin, Indian products have nowhere to go.

It's not only phones, but 10" tablets too. Their tablets were exported to the US on OEM basis as well.

By the way - all manners of people use Walton's phones, here's one, she happens to be an airliner pilot.

They even make Wi-Fi routers, and their own "Tamarind" Brand Laptops, from circuit board level.

Last week I bought unofficial Xiaomi Poco f3 8-256 global version. Unlocked the bootloader, installed Pixel Experience custom rom and BSGs modified Gcam. Smooth Google Pixel like experience.

Me and my niggas, all of us purchasing and using unofficial smartphones for couple of years...

Why. The Xiaomi is nice how it is. The OS is seamless nothing that special about the Google pixel.

Look at the statement, in 2 years they exported TV's worth $3 million. However laughable that was, the next statement from them was this success (lol) will pave way for realizing Walton as one of the best global electronics brands by 2030. That is just gold standard comedy circus

What's that like 4000 TVs an year? lol.

They don't care about facts and figures and will believe any PR statement given out by "Walton".

It's a similar case with ''Walton R&D", they were boasting about this firm being only ''some distance away'' from catching up with Samsung. Turns out that they only spend $300K on R&D annually.

R&D competing with Samsung from a country that publishes less scientific papers than IIT Madras, that didn't offer a course as basic as bachelors in Aeronautical engineering until 2010... Yeah right...!!!

Some folks like the different skins I guess. It's alright....

On a side note, guys just 'ignore' the Sanghi idiot circle-jerkers here. Better not to see their garbage and drivel.

Answering posts using cheap cellphones, kanjoos idiots.

"Make-en-Endeya" using Chinese-parts-assembly Tek-na-lajee....

I remember someone said Walton opened an R&D center in South Korea. I thought OK, that is somewhat praiseworthy. Then the next statement was that the research center is to be manned with 10 employees. I mean I realized they are just expert at fooling Bangladeshis. Kudos to them. PDF Bangladeshis were lapping at such news though. lol.

Garbage like this??? As expected from a kanjoosi country which consume just 7 million, $94 worth smartphones an year...

$350K spend on R&D, that's worst than some worse bankrupt PSUs in India... :lol:Little wonder why Walton's compressors which everyone here boasts about (as if it's some quantum computer or molten salt reactor, lol) was designed and developed in Germany.

@salute Any idea how many researchers they can hire with that sort of spending? I hope it's more than 10. :D

So much for indigenous technology, for an LDC that publishes less papers
than a single IIT in India, that too with such pathetic H-index.

Don't think any Sanghi came up with this, but what do the researchers at Harvard and MIT know? They should learn from "Walton'' on how to compete with Walton by spending just $350K.

Higher economic complexity as compared to country's income level drives economic development. Many low-income countries, including Bangladesh, Venezuela, and Angola have failed to diversify their knowhow and face low growth prospects. Others like India, Turkey, and the Philippines have successfully added productive capabilities to enter new sectors and will drive growth over the coming years

I remember that in 2017, India launched 104 satellites by rocket at a time. But these satellites are about the size of potatoes, and the total weight of all satellites is just over 1 ton.
It seems that until now, many Indians boast about this pile of potatoes. India can launch a pile of potatoes, so their aerospace technology exceeds that of the USA and Russia, and China even has no chip to compare with superpower India.

Now, a group of Indians laugh at Bangladeshis here. Why do Indians think they have chips to laugh at others?

At least the others don't boast about a pile of potatoes.
