42 Helicopters Missing in Turkey Sparking Concerns of a Second Coup Attempt

My guess is that some mutineers might have hijacked few choppers to escape into neighboring countries offering refuge. Should be nothing more than that.

Fake.

View attachment 318531 It is said that the first newspaper that mentioned the slaughter of the soldier(s) has the pro-AKP Akit Newspaper, which is also known for their pro-Nusra-ISIS position.

On twitter, first mention was made this newspaper and then other news channels picked it up. Then, Akit Newspaper removed the image and the post.

Can they do that without the approval of the government?

(Note: I censored the image above)

This one is fake too.

This one is fake too.

I also do believe it (the claim about soldier's beheading) was/is fake. I do believe Turkish military should never be made the target for those who have a grudge against the secular republic.

Yet, why would a pro-AKP newspaper publish it online and later delete?

Several left-leaning/AKP critical newspapers were blamed on this; but the reality is, the fake news was first published by this pro-AKP-ISIS Akit Newspaper.

It made big waves in the social media and that newspaper is know for its provoking sensationalism so they used the opportunity, they probably deleted after it was clear that it was BS news.
