40 Iranians kidnapped in Syria

Most of the people outside Iran are not aware about the Military & security structure of Iran, for them IRGC & Iranian armed forces are the same. In my view he just wanted to say that the captives are the Iranian Security personnel.

The bold part is enough to prove that you aren't well-informed about the situation at all. If you know 1% of what's going on, you would've already noticed that the FSA is claiming they are IRGC agents, not the Iranian army.

Why they would need deception tactic? To risk their lives for what? When they can safely send their agents by air planes landing in safe Syrian military airports, why they need to risk anything?
Indeed.

If not then no need to send the pilgrims in worst security situation and in heated sectarian divide in Syria.

I know whom to believe. A family-member who has links in Pakistan's biggest journalism not a internet user whose country has been caught in war crimes and is trying to cover things up.

I have reasons and backing for whatever I believe in.

I have the proofs, the identity cards of the caught men. They have been identified by the the FSA.

well nobody send the pilgrims there they go by themselves ,I knew after fall of Saddam at the time of the worst bombing in Iraq how people walked the border on foot to go Iraq for Pilgrimage .

just think like it is it possible for Indian government to stop yearly pilgrimage of Hindu believer to Ganges river ? I guess Its called Kumbh Mela while its the situation of Ganges
The Ganges was ranked among the five most polluted rivers of the world in 2007,with fecal coliform levels in the river near Varanasi more than one hundred times the official Indian government limits

show me those cards.
if they were spy and special forces how come they carried such identity cards with themselves .

Not really. The ones who follows the news know that Iranian army and IRGC are completely different things. People on this forum are expected to be better-informed than ordinary people.

I also think that we need to make it forbidden for Iranians to go to Syria at this situation.

So you think Pakistan journalists are the most knowledgable people out there? lol.

You have no backing for what you believe in.
Your country has already been caught several times to send cheap mercenaries for killing civilians and suppressing revolutions, please don't preach us about such things.

I have the proofs, the identity cards of the caught men. They have been identified by the the FSA.
Show us your proofs. Don't tell me that you want to show a military service card as your identification cards?

As i said before, the syrian opposition, the syrian sunni, the FSA, most of people see the iranians in the way that they are waging a direct sectarian war against syrian sunni massacring their people, their livestock and destroying to the ground their cities.
There is 2 millions displaced 99% are sunni, most of the killed are sunni, most of the tens of thousands of detained are sunni.. you have to imagine that every family has a suffer from this revolution be a killed, a detained, or a displaced you can stick to the official syrian regime rhetoric but believe me, if the regime fall all the iranians interest will be seized and the relations will be cut..
Too much blood have been spilled

yes too much blood have been shed by Armed Gangs and terrorists trained by KSA and Jordan and Turkey .
and after every thing calmed down ,they will answer for what they did.
and Syria is a majority Sunni country its natural the majority of the killed people are Sunni . but its the wrong category the killed people can be categorized in Government supporters and the people who are not support them and then if you count them the number would be very different from what you claimed and even the circumstance of their death .

Who has the mortar, artillery, planes to pound the cities to dust...anyway syrians know this, and know that iranians are giving all the munition to continue this genocide, and the mullah regime will pay a very heavy price for all his crimes

You should wait for very hard times if you kill the rest. And when the majority of people are Sunni, it's obvious that mostly Sunnis will get killed more.
If the FSA killed the rest, they would dream for past days. That would be their greatest mistake I think.

The simple question is that why would majority Sunnite Support the Nusyri/ Alawite dictator Al-Assad (Hafez & Bashar) for 45 long years. where as in democratic countries it is mammoth task for an incumbent president to be reelected, even the second term. And kindly do not try to sell anti Zionist- anti American stance.

Well ,the last time that I checked it was not mortars and artillery shells that killed the civillian and those weapons only used against armed gangs and thugs ,and what killed civilians the must were armed thugs and terrorists that used knife and guns from short distance to kill them something execution like .
And it seems they did these atrocities in hope of gaining international suport by blaming government for them

By the way if syria used the weapons we gave them against the cities it would have taken only one to two days to made a football stadium out of a city , don't forget a single missile of what we gave syria can rip apart oneor two apartement bloc

Yes you rightly said Kumbh Mela takes place (The Ardh (half) Kumbh Mela is celebrated every six years at the Purna (complete) Kumbh takes place every twelve years,. The Maha (great) Kumbh Mela which comes after 144 years). at the plain below the mountain glacier from where the River begins its Journey. And indeed, it is one of most polluted river in the world as it runs through the massively industrialist Indian cities but not at the point where Kumbh Mela takes place.

With due respect, your logic is extremely preposterous. When you compare Government Permitting or stopping the participation at Kumbh Mela on polluted riverbank with the Urban Civil war situation in Damascus & other cities where Air, ground and even Naval bombardments are dispensing on densely populated areas

Iran: US responsible for Iranians seized in Syria

07/08/2012
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's Foreign Ministry says it's holding the U.S. responsible for the fate of Iranians kidnapped in Syria.

The state IRNA news agency says the ministry summoned the Swiss envoy in Tehran late Monday to stress that Iran expects Washington to use its influence to secure the Iranians' release. The Swiss look after U.S. interests in Iran since Tehran and Washington have no diplomatic relations.

Syrian rebels snatched 48 Iranians off a bus just outside Damascus Saturday. Iran says those abducted were pilgrims visiting a shrine but their captors claimed in a video broadcast Sunday they were on a "reconnaissance mission."

Syria's close ally Iran has criticized the U.S., Turkey and some Gulf states for supporting the Syrian rebels. It has also asked Turkey and Qatar to help return Iranian captives.

Solomon2 comment: If true, it's remarkable testimony as to how low the mullahs' influence has fallen, that they appeal to the "Great Satan" for assistance in a state only a few months ago it regarded as its reliable ally, if not satellite. However, I doubt that the U.S. has anything like the influence Iran imagines; they should probably knock on the Saudis' door instead - but they probably realize that's quite useless.
