40,000 Bohras from all over world attending their annual congregation in Karachi, Pakistan

.
But any way it was elitist muslims who claimed that they are different from us and seeing the events around the world that is certainly true
No, it was natives of modern-day Pakistan that had been claiming that they are different from India. First man to propose the name for this new country was Rahmat Ali, a Pakistani Punjabi. Calls for a Muslim federation seperate from India existed before Rahmat Ali but he was one of the first to popularise it.

Looking at it purely from Muslim POV the partition of 1947 was a unmitigated disaster for the community. It divided the muslim and left huge chunk open to abuse by Hindus. Indeed if the idea of partition was to secure Muslims of the sub-continent it had exactly the opposite effect. The splintered Bohra community is reminder of this.
Looking at the condition of atheists/others in Islamic countries, I would say it helped us a lot.

Partition was good for the Muslims of current area of Pakistan and could be a disaster for the Muslims now living in India.

Looking at the pros and cons of partition, from a Muslim perspective if you retrospect the conditions and the subservient and disenfranchised/marginalized minority group that was Muslims in pre partition era, it was good for the select group of Muslims who are in Pakistan in general, nothing is in black and white, whole lot of gray areas here.

Similarly if look at the conditions of Muslims in India today vis a vis wealth, education, land holdings both rural and urban, properties and businesses, there wealth is minuscule compared to the all the denominators I have mentioned above, if you talk about India and Pakistan having the same Muslim population numbers.

Agree with all the facts about Muslims living conditions in India, Sachar committee report has pointed out to that anomaly.

Condition of Muslims worse than Dalits': Heptullah

Muslims do worse in India because they are more religious. You must have heard of the recent hindu fanatics in India ( beef lynchings and all). Well, the muslim community used to behave exactly like this.

Secular muslims (particularly the moderates and non- believers from the community) will have an easier time. The world is growing less religious, and if you are very serious about your faith, you will be marginalised.

The topic has gone beyond its scope, repeated discussions that end up nowhere.. please focus on the community rather than lamenting or taunting

Met few of them like from Tanzania and India as well as from other countries. Calm, peaceful & loving people. Had discussion with them w.r.t. Pakistan and its picture represented by media etc. Even the conversation was long as being held on different time interval however, the long cut short, most of them expressed as indeed it is not the Pakistan what a specific set of warfare is trying to prove though there are few areas that we need to improve.

All of them were very happy for hospitality and all. I would like to mention couple of them from India that told me as they do not feel away from home and Government of Pakistan has been very helping/supportive w.r.t. visa and all process for the visit on this occasion.

I would like to thanks our guests for the visit and Pakistan welcomes everyone.

Indian media will not portray and project a single event which puts Pakistan in a good light or any positive image. I read a lot of Indian media and have yet to come across any article which shows the positive image of Pakistan.

Even if the gist of the news is giving a positive perception about Pakistan, Indian media will get it skewed and doctored and twist/tweak any good news into a bad one from Pakistan.

And about the senile, puerile comments and the vitriol, the less said the better. Shows the intolerance level and the level of xenophobia against Pakistan. And hatred consumes the person or the country which harbors it...it is coming full circle in India.

I wouldn't quote Indian Media alone here. For simple understanding of the same, the warfare works in so many ways hence, counter machine is needed that we lack at the moment. However, during these meets and greets, I found most of them as better informed w.r.t. such yellow journalism and propaganda that themselves expressed their observation contrary to what mostly media brags about. I noticed that they were actually enjoying the stay and also, were happy to be here that too on such occasion which was organized after 20 years in Pakistan. In today's world, media is not all about the facts or true reporting but the same being utilized by many forces for their political and regional influences upon other countries.
