This source have no consistency.The news circulating was that the Egyptians weren't happy with the original package or the Rafales performance hence they went for SU-35s, the French may have sweetened the second deal.

Rafale F3R is one of the most sophisticated aircraft in existence (independent pointers). Well-informed Turkish sources are also impressed.
France is developing much improved Rafale F4R as well (expected to rolled out in 2026), and its technologies will help inform European FCAS project.
