What's new

30 Secs is all it takes..

Thats not how I did it, although your way looks better

1, 2, 6, 42, 1806, 3263442

(1 + 2) x 2 = 6
(1 + 6) x 6 = 42
(1 + 42) x 42 = 1806
(1 + 1806) x 1806 = 3263442

Well the plus one ensures we're both crunching the same numbers.

I also did it the same way and did it within 3 minute :)

Well since i solved it and i believe that my IQ is above 120 so hell yeah its true :yahoo:

knowledge can be achieved over time.
IQ is inborn; a calculation of how quick your brain can actually pick up knowledge

well a lot of IQ tests have certain patterns of questions. in fact, one thing IQ always tests is patterns in sequences, especially with numbers. so a person who does a lot of IQ questions will learn to think better and associate patterns faster, and their IQ will increase. so its not exactly inborn. to a certain degree it can be cultivated.

I too disagree that IQ can't be raised. It is common knowledge that humans use a fraction of their brains. If they can train themselves to use more, the brains power would increase.

Did I? Boy, is my face red.:)

Which brings me to my next question. Johnasad, how did you solve it if the question itself was wrong?? ;) You googled it, didn't you?

its jonasad, JonAsad to be precise.. i dont use google i improvise :smokin:

Well it seems Pakistanis and Indians have different approaches in solving the same problem... i did followed your method and felt a little  that there is another method too ;)

Well, knowledge is completely different than intelligence.
Intelligence is some thing that is most probably inherited.
Knowledge is some thing we gain over time.

If some one practices the IQ type questions than he is increasing his knowledge eventually IQ... in my terms thats cheating :smokin:

OMG....even in simple maths we creatures from either side follow 180 deg opp methods.:woot:

Vey good future for us.......jus kidding

Seriously man, i cud read the whole para and find every letter right away,

:flame:I have an IQ of 126, the test was done when I was starting my O levels by the school. Got every puzzle, some in time, some not apart from that probability riddle. Probability was never my strong suit any way and ever since my leaukaemia treatments (from 99-03) I've had trouble evaluating logical patterns and with memory retention. But then it happens to all who undergo cranial radiation treatment. I may be slow but I'm still 126. :-D
btw I'm an accountant, production of an SIT alum chem eng father and medical doctor mother with two specialisations. It runs in the genes u see. ;-)

Yup and thats folks is the difference between an IQ an Knowledge.
IQ is inherited.
Knowledge is gained.

btw any more riddle puzzle tongue twisters ??

3263442......Solved it in under minute and i'm an MBA.......
