30,000 Pak Hindus, Sikhs can buy homes in India

And how is that against religious freedom?
Hows that not against religious freedom? Hindu and Christians can not study their own religions and are becoming unfamiliar with their own traditions day by day. Pakistani schools must have the provision for Christian and Hindus to learn their respective religions at school and Hinduism will be taught by hindu teachers while the bible will be taught by Christian teachers.

They can learn their own religion at home if they wish, nobody is stopping them.

Why cant schools provide seperate religious education for minorities. Minorities are citizens of Pakistan and being non muslims does not make them less of a citizen and the government also has certain responsibilities towards thr minorities. If muslims can learn islamiyat in school then minorities have the right to study their respectuve religions at school.

Minority students in Pakistan are forced to study islamiyat. May be that's why so many non-Muslims are leaving Pakistan for good.

We're not going to teach things we don't believe in at school, simple as. If they want to learn about their own religion, they can do it at home.

Learning about Islamic history is critical if one is to develop a true understanding about Pakistan and it's history. The same cannot be said for Christianity, Sikhism or Hinduism.

One of my good Christian Pakistani friends was asked by an Indian if he hated Muslims.

He replied, “Why hate them? I am religiously a Christian, but culturally I’m a Muslim.”

This is the thought process of most Christians, Sikhs, Hindus in Pakistan.

Is it because minorities in Pakistan are forced to study Islamiyat in schools?

Should all of you be considered "we"? Yet you refer to the minorities as "they". And therein lies the problem.

No, because they're not Muslim. I'm referring to religious identity here, not nationality (which personally plays second fiddle to my religious identity, but that's another story).

Is it because minorities in Pakistan are forced to study Islamiyat in schools?

Probably.

Also because of the fact that Pakistan was made because of Islam, so you have to agree with the religion to some extent to be a patriotic Pakistani (even if you don't believe in it).

But didn't Jinnah say that religion is your personal matter and that it has nothing to do with the business of the state ?

Would you agree if I say that you guys are now overruling Jinnah ?

Even if he did, how does this contradict with that?

Jinnah said your religion is your personal matter and it has nothing to do with the state.

But Pakistan force all her students - irrespective of their religion - to study Islamiyat.

And you say that Pakistan was made in the name of Islam so everyone will have to "agree with Islam in order to be a patriotic Pakistanis."

If you don't see contradictions here then, well, okay.

There is no contradiction, we are not forcing anyone to believe in Islam, so as a result we are not interfering with their personal belief.
