What's new

3 seconds to eject but no attempt

. .
big mistake he didnt try to save his life
that area has large area which only has vegetation so he should've ejected he was no less precious than the jet

. .
if he ejected and remained alive he might not be enjoying similar status and rank in airforce like in past,I think he tried his best to retain his honor and status to save aircraft until last breath and preferred death over losing aircraft

Partially ... may be you are right.
It is always good to face and tackle the blame as an alive person.

He thought that he could save the aircraft in a last ditch effort that is why he didn't eject.

He tested the limits and couldn't make it. We need to maybe preach more safety of the pilots (not in wartime). In wartime, i am all of going to the limits and whopping ***.

His honour would have been shaken but at least he would have lived to see another day, sad to see such a capable person lose his life because of his own mistake.
Rest in peace.

He was a lot more precious then others on the ground for Pakistan and Pakistan's security.

Absolutely agree. I hope the air force takes a lesson from this tragedy and draws a strict protocol on flying at certain heights during peacetime.

True. But his mission was to display the measures he was supposed to take in war. He was sherafgan so chose to go to extreme.
We all wish he would have lived a longer life. He chose to live forever.
