In the coming years - HAL Tejas Mk1a with Astra missile - 150 KM, Su 30 MKi (upgraded -150 KM BVR Missiles), and Rafale.

IT will be guaranty that the Chinese PLAAF will think twice to enter the Indian airspace.

The secondary objective was to take the heat off pakistan a little bit so that india focuses more on the northern and north eastern boder, than LOC. Allowing pakistan to regroup and rebuild.
