Retired IRGC Officers Among Hostages in Damascus – Iran FM

The Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi told reporters today that some of the 48 kidnapped Iranians in Syria are "retired IRGC and military officers.” Saheli added that these retired officers were in Damascus on pilgrimage. The Free Army of Syria had previously claimed that there were IRGC officers among the 48 detainees. Iran had denied that charge.

Ok so what?If for example a U.S retired solder is taken hostage just because he was a soldier, should they execute them? Can't IRGC ex-members travel outside the country?

.
Its strange that salehi said they are from the psadarans, its like he signed their death sentence.

Not all of them, only a few are retired IRGC and also regular army.I know FSA scares even some old ex-soldiers.by killing them,FSA signs their own death sentence too. There will be no excuse to keep even one single fsa member alive after that.

Day after day there are new info about these so called"pilgrimers", we will learn in the next few days they are from the intelligence, that would be logical...
Anyway, its a very hard punch the FSA has manage to give to the iranian regime

I think you shouldnt look at the death count, it wont change anything even if 100 FSA are killed every day. The main thing is that if the regime fall, it will ba strategic blow to iran and thats why the iranians are hysterical and are sending their envoy everywhere

Iran is sending envoys to help release those hostages from hands of terrorists.
The funny thing about so called Free Syrian Army is:
It's not free, cause most of them are paid by Qatar and Saudis to fight.
It can't be called completely Syrian, since there are lots of mercenaries from other Arab countries fighting in there in the name of fsa.
It's not an army,I wouldn't call some mercenaries, suicide bombers and some rebels without any former fighting experience an army.

I invite you to watch the videos of FSA, you will understand they are all syrians and they are brave, and they manage to kill a lot lot of tank and regime soldiers.

dont troll... Assad wont fall... we promise this

. .
Are you implying unarmed and retired soldiers cant be pilgrims?

If I understand correctly, Iran's army service is compulsory, therefore vast majority of male Iranians were in army before. So according to your and the likes logic, they have to sit at home and dont go anywhere else, because God forbid, they were in army a long time ago! :azn:
they are retarded, dont argue with them
