This BJP govt is plagued with scandals. But no excuse for what happened in Lok Sabha. The behaviour of the Congress MPs was shameful.

New Delhi: Bolstered by support from most opposition parties, Congress on Tuesday took to the streets to mount a frontal attack on the Narendra Modi government over the suspension of its 25 MPs, terming it as "murder of democracy" and demanding that Prime Minister hear the "voice of the country".

Leading the assault from the front, Congress president Sonia Gandhi and her deputy Rahul Gandhi, sat on a dharna in the Parliament House complex, shouted slogans and declared that the campaign for resignation of BJP leaders will continue even if all its members are "thrown out of Parliament".

"Suspension of our MPs is anti-democratic. Democracy is being murdered," said Sonia, as she, in a rare occurrence, raised slogans along with top party leaders including Ghulam Nabi Azad, AK Antony and Anand Sharma against the Speaker's decision. Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was also present.

"We will not budge from our stand and there will be no let up in our pressure (on government) as far as issues of corruption, Sushma Swaraj and Vyapam are concerned," Rahul told reporters, making clear the party's intent to carry on with its belligerent posture on the issue of resignations of top BJP leaders accused of wrongdoing.

"Vyapam scam has destroyed future of 1000s in MP. There is clear evidence that Sushmaji has broken the law. Clear evidence that Rajasthan CM (Vasundhara Raje) directly involved financially with Lalit Modi," he said.

Targeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's on the issue, the Congress leader took a swipe at him, saying though he made his voice heard through his radio programme 'Mann ki Baat', he was not prepared to listen to the "voice of the country".

"I am not asking for their resignation, the Congress is not asking for their resignation but the people of India are asking for their resignation.

"I am only trying to explain to the PM the voice of the people of the country. The Prime Minister has the habit of making his voice heard (Mann ki Baat), let him listen to the voice of the country," he said.

"Down with Narendra Modi! We want justice! Shame on you dictator!" chanted the agitated Congress MPs as they sat near the Mahatma Gandhi's statue, wearing black arm bands as a mark of protest.

Leaders of other opposition parties like Samajwadi Party and RJD too joined them in the protest.

The decision by Lok Sabha Speaker is "unlawful", SP chief Mulayam Singh Yadav said, as he asked her to reconsider it.

In a rare show of unity, besides the Congress, MPs of the Trinamool Congress and NCP boycotted Lok Sabha proceedings and those of the Left, SP and RJD walked out soon after the House met.

All of them are corrupt. Thanks to electronic media and proper accounting of funds, with records being kept digitally, these scandals get caught. But these ministers are incorrigible.

There is no best politician but better politician and same the case of party.

Agitating for the sake of agitating is the last ditch ploy of Congress to stay relevant.

Its funny seeing ManMoron Singh wearing a black arm band and all, trying to make it look like his presence means something....not realising he is just destroying this image further by always being beside Italian waitress and her nitwit son.

It looks like India can only start moving forward seriously when Congress loses its Rajya Sabha numbers. That will take a couple more years or so. Hence why these desperate last ditch efforts to stall anything big that is proposed. Bunch of selfish, arrogant traitors the lot of them.

I am looking forward to the day when they will have single digits representation in both houses....and/or are simply swallowed up by some regional party in UP.

BJP should have stuck firm to making the land bill feasible and simple.....and if it couldnt pass it, they should have let each state decide for itself...and push through a federal one at the earliest opportunity.

Seeing that smirk on Pappu idiots face when he is saying he has forced BJP to come to congress terms, makes me want to smash his face in.....BJP did not play its cards well at all in this instance.

Don't suspend them, execute them. I'm sure each and everyone of them is corrupt beyond imagination.

Drag out that Italian whore and his half-breed son, tie them to a tree, douse them in gasoline, and set them on fire.

As for Priyanka, let convicted rapists gang rape her until she dies.

I personally feel that the "Make in India" initiative has been highly instrumental in attracting FDI to India from all across the globe - Foreign direct investment (FDI) into India during October 2014-April 2015 period rose by 48% year-on-year after the launch of ‘Make in India’ initiative on account of which India for the first time entered the Top 10 FDI destinations club since 2004 - #9 in FY14 - a position which will surely improve in the years to come.

FDI up 48 percent in seven months of 'Make in India' | ET Auto
FDI Inflows in India up by 22% - Joins Top 10 Global FDI Destinations at #9 in '14 (From #15 in '13)

.
The more important thing is how this FDI influx is grown and sustained. For that an efficient and implementable land acquisition bill is required on top of major labour reforms. Both may take some time for Modi to push through at federal level. I hope BJP works hard this year to implement as much as they can in the States that they are leading as a stop-gap measure. This will create a differential in say 2 years time that will make non-BJP states follow suit (or lose out on investment) and/or expand BJP presence in them and eventually Rajya Sabha numbers.

. .
this is not how democracy works... you just suspended half of the congress MPs. Shame on you speaker.
wht about the money and time tht got wasted during tht time, isnt tht right decision by speaker

the most important bills tht all the investors and business man eye on id GST and LAND BILL , both bill provided bt congress and they know hw much important both of them are for economy but shamefull act still going on, they dont care about people or country , also all indian are waiting for this
