What's new

25th Anniversary of Tiananmen Square

Democracy gives freedom of expression, the ownership of assets, no censorship, and more over multi party based system... what kind of democracy is this where there these essential ingredients are missing?

Now you sound like the Indians who are proud of their democracy. If you wish Pakistan to be like India you can vote for that. China has a working model and it shows.

wrong is wrong mate ... even if it in my country or your country.. the difference is that I am even able to criticize my state and leadership which I myself elect, for their wrong doings, in my country and I am not massacred in some square for that but you don't have that leverage here! This is not what most of Chinese want so talk about yourself only without abusing the word we.

Wrong is relative. Therefore, it needs to be considered to be "conditional and conjectural." Your wrong is yours, not ours. We belong to different histories, understandings and cultures.

Apparently your criticism of your gov't has not worked so far. Then, why insist on something that has not worked and what makes you believe that it will work anytime soon?

In fact, we do not care you remain in that state of criticism so long as heaven allows, but lecturing us into something that has worked miraculously badly for you is heresy.

Lecturing us into something that you believe to be "right" is shameful. We leave you alone, you leave us alone. Otherwise, get ready to be lectured back.

Your state and secret service have massacred more than any other ever could but we do not care. But we care when you tug your nose into our internal affairs.

We will never do what others believe we should do. This is not to drag the discussion, but, as a gentle reminder to those who may wrongfully believe that their lecturing (especially cyber-lecturing) will ever make an impression on us.

We have our own path; you follow yours. We do not judge you, we will not be judged.

Working model? who said it is a model for the world? Self praise?

yeah the politicians here are corrupt and incompetent and daily we have protests against them and articles are published against them in news papers and electronic media criticizes them. Democracy in itself is good but these politicians are making it look worst.
What good did that do? Remember Wall street protest? What good did that do? Nothing changed. Bankers still rule wall street. Poor people still poor.
Corrupt, incompetent officials are still in office. The Chinese one party system get things done and officials are elected within based on achievements and merits, not by spewing political bs.

Democracy is a tool used as a way to make the populace think they have representation and a voice, but in reality they don't. it's just an illusion.

Did Chinese members here ever claim it's a model for the world to follow?

That's sick Indian mentality right here.

They fail to see how much we do not care about them, their regime, their political processes, and all that. We really do not care.

On the other, they, ever now and then, pop up to lecture us into a regime that worked terribly not well for them.

Some Indians here are ahistorical. They fail to realize how their mere existence as a 1.2 billion failure legitimates and propagates (although we do not intend that) our own political system.

Your whole verbose is based on one point that whatever your state is doing is right and nobody should have problem. if this was so the US first lady wouldn't have said in your own soil to take measures to improve human rights in your country. So just saying that leave us alone doesn't really work. In today's world there is nothing isolated. lastly, you represent only your point of view and writing the word we in bold doesn't give any emphasis to your ipse dixit.

Which "innocent" country? The Taliban's Afghanistan that hosted the terrorists who murdered thousands of innocent Americans on 9/11/2001 or the "innocent" Saddam Hussein's Iraq who invaded and raped Kuwait, defied the cease fire and attacked coalition forces and used poison gas in genocide on his own people?
The same people you supported. When you don't need them anymore they become your enemies:

And of course Good ol' "Uncle Joe" Stalin, the Soviet DICTATOR:

short comings are in every but best system so far is democracy only. If politicians are corrupt it doesn't mean that the system is wrong. In your system, corrupt people are also there? They also get punished.. like in other systems..

India's democracy is among the best when it comes to freedom of expression. You should tell your government to follow India's example, it's the best system. China is not your country so you can stop preaching.
