250-kg bomb falls off IAF plane; no one hurt​

In a freak incident, a bomb fell off a Mirage 2000 aircraft belonging to the Indian Air Force. The aircraft was on a routine sortie.

The 250-kg bomb fell from the Mirage 2000 and exploded near Pokhran in Rajasthan. No one was injured.

A court of inquiry has been ordered to establish why the bomb fell off the plane.

Only No. 1 Squadron ‘Tigers’ & No. 7 Squadron ‘Battleaxes’ operate M2ks and they are based in Gwalior which incidentally falls under the Central Air Command. Gwalior has an air-to-ground test range. So what was a M2k doing over Pokhran which falls under the ‘Western Air Command’? I am not suggesting anything. Just weaving my own conspiracy theory. I may be wrong!

Sir 250 Kg bomb is bigger. Sir i wonder why it droped in pokhran only? May be india doing experiment? Like how to make mother of all bombs that america had or father of bombs that russia has? May be it was baby step? Why our jet fighter was carrying live 250 kg bomb sir? Its not even war exercise going on..

Sir may be the pilot droped it purposely? Why was our jet fighter carrying live 250 kg bomb? There are dummy bombs for safety. Only in a war or war exercise or test jet fighter carrys live bombs sir. Bit strange. The venue was pokhran, no one died, and bomb dropped itself..

Had it been some military exercise, you guys hadn't posted and Initiated a thread on the issue. I think you need to push on IAF institutionally as they are taking lives of Indian people too lightly. Few days back the poor maintenance resulted in death of a pilot and now hundred rather life of thousands of people was at risk. Or confirm if IAF has started some "social services" to control the population of India.
